Ok,I have a fewquestions. I am looking to get a few peices of armor vulnrable to everything except cold (or some other type of damage not used often) for a safe place to keep my AA's on. My logic here is, if it only resists cold damage, then its condition will not decrease as fast as a composite peice only vuln to stun or lightsaber. My question is, is this possible? If not, what would you reccomend?

I suppose that could work... But to tell you the truth you're better off going with something like either a Mabari Armourweave belt (vuln to everything and currently has no cond), or a padded belt (has cond and a few resists). Ordinarily I'd also suggest either a Ubese Shirt or Bandolier, but those two are bugged harder than a plague of locusts atm and only take Clothing Attachments (despite being armour, go figure...).
FWIW I'd be going with the mabari belt option, although you may potentially risk having it go wrong if the 0-cond item nerf ever hits.
Cheers,

I believe i see a flaw in ur logic here. Correct me if i'm wrong, but armor condition decreases based on the amount of damage that gets through it, so an armor piece with less resists would let more damage through, thus causing the condition to decrease faster. I would suggest the mabari belt also.

He was right about the vulnerability thing, if it's vulnerable to the type of damage done, then it doesn't take condition loss from it.
Only armor with few resists are bone and mabari, bone with elec, energy and mabari with heat, blast, kinetic, cold, acid.
What I would suggest is some high base electricity layered composite bracers, get them effectiveness sliced (you'll need a few pieces, 2 if u feel lucky) and hope as hell to get as close to 90% as possible. This way, your bracers will last a LONG time, as well as provide 90% protection to everything but stun. This can go the same with boots, as long as you don't do the 4 piece suit deal that some players do (Me lol).
With this setup, you won't get condition loss from stun weapons and you'll get very little loss from other damage types, esp pve.

I think you have it backwards. You'd actually want something with the LOWEST base possible. The higher the base the more damage the armor absorbs and the faster the piece of armor decays. So buy LOW base electric only composite arms and gloves and use pieces that you got encumbrance slices on and the armor pieces will last much much longer.

No, decay is based on how much damage armor lets through it , not by how much it absorbs. A high base sliced shield will last much longer than one with a low base.

They are right about the armor choice. Arm armor is your best bet. Maybe even gloves (how often do your hands get hit?). You'd want the highest resistances possible to block most of the damage, but eventually it will decay to 0. If they impliment the zero condition nerf, that could cause you problems.
There's two possibilities. If your AAs are good enough that you don't see yourself ever not wanting them, then possibly get an unlayered bracer experimented for the lowest HAM cost and then aim for an encumbrance slice. This will get to zero much faster, but once it does you can keep wearing the armor for the mods without paying much in HAM for it. The drawback would be if they implimented the nerf, but it's going to get to zero eventually anyway. Once it does you'd either be looking at high costs but a long ways away, or low costs but not as long. Even with mediocre resists (40-50%) bracers will last a long time because it's targeted so infrequently.
