Thread: Who else got put out of Business by the Armor Changes?

Well with all the unique resources being demanded by all the different suits of amror i've yet to make a single suit of post CU armor.


I can not seem to locate the resources i need now for layers or cores, but have secured some for different appearances of armor.


I can't be the only armorsmith who wants to keep AS but isn't in business right now.....anyone have help to locating resources or having similar problems?

find 2-3 other smiths on your server with same problem, then specialize


you make all battle armor, other guy recon, etc



then you cut the resources you need to get by 2/3 or more

just keep trying, you will find the resources... or just start lower by making medium cores, the customers will buy it cause the other as are prolly as bad off as you.

Sad really, only time I ever stock the vendor is when I need credits to buy stuff for SW....

Easy way is to find Krayt hunters and rancor Hunters and get teh Assault and battle cores from them. that will save you a bunch on resources and the core are pretty nice to begin with. Best suits I haev made with Krayt have been 6800 kinetic 6200 base.

i have been an AS for about 3 weeks now i have managed to get al the resources i need easily did a lot of vendor searching and quite a bit of cash im currently only making recon armour till i get used to AS and am currently have 4 factories on the go making segments its not the best armour on the server but its not the worst and its cheaper than a lot of other AS until i get a stash of resources it will have to do when my resource list only has 3 weeks on it the same with all hides but im getting there

It wasn't easy, but I did find another smith to team up with and we cranked out some suits, no problem. I've actually slowed way down since the CU.... just don't have the same passion for the craft that I used to.

Ive actually been a lucky smith. I was also a resource collector while doing armorsmithing, so when the CU hit I had most of the resources I needed. My biggest gripe atm isnt the increased resources(allthough they are a pain in the a$$), but the color issues with factory crates. Im selling between 10 and 15 sets of armor a night now, and my stock pile I had on the vendor has dwindled from 1200 armor peices to about 200 or so. I try to stock nightly to keep some variety, but its just impossible. So I wish soe would get that fixed for me. Last night alone, I had a guy come in and buy 5 sets of marauder, 2 sets of wookie assault and 2 sets of wookie battle. Its getting hard to maintain.

My business was booming...until just over 4 weeks ago. Since then my vendors have emptied of everything except Ithorian Armour and I am losing approximately 100 mil credits per week (based on sales in the first month after the CU).

well i have been a master AS for 14 months now ! and his just killed my buisness !! i was never in it for the money but for the fun and for helping good friends !


i had loads of crates with armor-layers , armorpaddings and segments all ready for the making ( kin 80 base 70), all this suddenly changes into mediocre assault/battle/recon segments that have no use at all - and whats more ! now we suddenly have to find even more specific hides for the armorcores !! as if the hides wasnt hard enough as it was !!

sounds like you should raise prices to maintain stock. simple as that


if some guy can afford 9 sets of your armor in one go youre underselling
