ok. I know I might get wacked for this, but hey.. I'll admit that I am still an AS noob....I am trying to grind out my alt to MAS, but I have a question... People have been asking me that when I make armor, how many sockets do I put on them., and being new to the profession, I LIE....LOL I say they are bugged.... but in truth. I dont know how to add sockets to armor. Can someone plz help me with some general armor crafting info, or provide a link to a guid that could answer my questions.. thx so much...
PS. you know there is nothing that tells you what the best resourcers are for AS to make armor.. IE-types of metal and hides (High OQ is understood)???? Just thought I throw that out there.

sockets are random. always have been. there may be a faq in the tailor forum.
And try swgcraft.com for your resource needs. Feel free to update it for the servers you play on.

Dude.. SWGcraft.com is bull... they have some listings, but most of the post-cu stuff is not available, and they do not have a good list of resources for the AS... most of it is still guess work.... Sorry for ranting, but I just get very disocuraged trying to craft an item at the best possibly quality, and have no idea what the best resources are... I do know that High OQ, and other stats are imporant, but in some cases theactual type of resource makes a hugh differance in the outcome... Sorry .. just very frustrated...

sorry, but 1 more thing... Bloodfin has not had any Uber resources in months... atleast that i know of.

You may not have had "the super-uber", butyou should have haddecent stuff.
Decent enough to get you started.
Sure you won't be able to make the best armor on your server, but halfof craftingis gathering resources.
And look in the stickies for a list of resources you need.
If it's not there, try doing a search.
I don't know what exactly it is you're looking for.
Try being more specific.
Everything up to Coresis OQ+SR, final combine is OQ+SR+DR.
It tells you so when you craft.

SWGcraft is more accurate on some server than others depends on if the crafters are doing their job reporting the spawns.
Otherwise you go planet to planet use your tool and take samples.

I've gotten all my bloodfin resources and info off of swgcraft.com. Yeah not everything has been uber, but if you say nothing has...you haven't been watching! You just have to know how to look.

Actauly guys.. I must dirgress.... after you guys posted some good feedback and insight... I also took a nap, and came, got some grub, spent some time with the oldlady.
. I cameback in a less frustrated state.... you are correct.. I did have a good run of alum, and steel not too long ago, and I guess everything isnt everything.. got back to crafting with the 2X xp and thingsseem to berolling along pretty good now... TY for the info., and attention.

That was cool of you.
Here's some extraadvice.
+ Get a survey droid.
+ Get a 30K resource deed.
+ Send droid out to check spawns.
+ Use 30K deed to check stats (don't use it to claim 30K of it though. LOL).
In the current system, I actually started using my second/third/fourth best resources to craftand I can still make decent sellablearmor.
