Thread: Dune kimo scale drop rate

Killed about 30 of these now and nothing, i know that people claimed they have changed the drop rate on them since RIS came out. My questionis if anyone heard anything about the drop rate changing in this patch.

Killed 2 last night and nothing. Another guy told me yesterday he killed 20 and got one, so I guess it depends when you get to killing them. Luck of the draw I guess.

Its a timed drop.. you have to camp the kimo for one hour before you kill it for it to drop a scale.. its worked for me so far and heres a screenie of my character:

i should be able to test this theory right now, i'm watching the kimo. Hopefully no one shows up within the hour.

waited a full hour before attacking although a couple newbs attacked it and got killed, still no loot.

are you killing dune kimos or GIANT dune kimos? Me and a friend killed about 10-15 kimos today but they were just regular dunes and enraged. I believe only giants drop the scale

I have only killed giant dune kimo's, i have never even killed an eraged or normal dune kimo.

No one can attack it.. period.. if someone attacks it the loot won't show up.. Thats why I kill these things at ungodly times in the morning.. no one is up that early and if they are they are usally doing other things or are afk grinders..

well that doesnt work for gorath, too many europeans. People are on all the time, i mean allthe time. So have you ever done this and it didn't work, like you saw it spawn and watch it for the entire hour and got nothing.
testing it again now, no one is here and i will see the kimo spawn.

JP I have tested this several times in the past month, seems Gorath doesn't follow the same pattern.
Dunno, I hope you prove me wrong
