padded is avoided by people because it has blast proection in the special category. which (i have been told by many people) no one uses. its far simpler to make a set of Ubease or marbri or comp that padded. let alone advanced padded.

if your going for looks go ahead but stilli dont like it all that much... and its a pain to make.

Good luck. Be prepared for sticker shock when you see the pricetag (should be more expensive than Composite IMO). You are better off finding a smith with Techniques 4 and Personal Armor 4 that needs the xp to get to Master (get awesome xp for making a full suit at least).

Padded is really not worth it sadly. Good luck finding a smith, padded is a titanic pain. Agree with others, go with comp or ubese, they will be better and easier to get.

I am not on Bria, but good luck finding a smith that will do it. Most avoid padded because it is more difficult than composite and Ubese to make because of specific requirements of hides etc... Plus, Ubese and Composite are much better for the protection vs encumberance issue. Padded usually has very high encumberance for the protection it gives. Comp gives better protection with about the same HAM. If you want it just for the looks then a non-layered set would be better. I made a chestplate with HAM of 136/57/21 but very low resists (like around 14% blast and 10% everything else) but my resources weren't the best either.
