Thread: Do Armorsmiths get a Repair bonus?
Seriously, is there any bonus that armorsmiths get when repairing than everyone else?
Actually, armorsmiths do not get a repair bonus. Or if we do, it is not listed in our skills. For example, I have a belt with a +1 armor repair tape in it. When I wear that belt, in my skills list I see: armor repair 0/1. When I am not wearing it, the armor repair skill is not listed. This means that with the belt I have 0 skill from my experience and a total of 1 with my enhancements. Apparently, back in November's big patch, the devs added a skill check for armor repair, but neglected to add any armor repair skills to the armorsmith profession.
I have resorted to giving away free repair kits with every suit that I sell.

OK so there is no listing or anything that shows we get a bonus, But I guarentee as a Master Armorsmith I will repair alot more successfully than anyone else. Just like master smuggler donsen't show any bonus to thier slicing we all know for certain that a master has a bonus.
I aslo know from expierence and testing. I made a whack of ADV comp gloves left em in my INV and got my other character to DB me over and over till the armor was at 50%. I then used the 99.9999% repair tools and with my Master armorsmith out of 10 repairs, I got 8 Minor Blemishes, and 2 reduced condition. wy Other toon is Master Commando/SMaster Smuggler and has NO CRAFTING SKILLS at all. he too used the 99.9999% repair tools and guess what. Marginal repair on 1 piece, all other nine he completely failed to repair.
If that isn't Direct evidence that Master Armorsmith can repair better than I don't know what is.
