I'm only getting 39% stun on triple layered stuff and it's really starting to annoy me also

Obiate (duralloy)
Moope (vertex)
Duraepah (crism)
I went looking through swgcraft's database and there's an old crism siliclastic that's signifigantly better then my duraepah (555 mall, 931 oq, 220 shock). Erih crism has (560 mall, 983 oq, 240 shock), but I have no clue how old it is, and I've never seen it sold on the auction forum.
I suspect it's some ancient 6 month old spawn that 3 or 4 smiths on the server have millions of units of, and nobody else has any of.
That duraepah I'm using is around a month or two old, so if you go shopping you should be able to find a resources seller who has some for sale, and at least get up to 39% triple layered like I have.
That single patchday experiment change that happened a while back probably gave a number of smiths numerous schematics to produce high stun layers as well. Alas I didn't have the resources to attempt it back then .

what kind of crism siliclastic ore do you use???
whats the oq/sr on it
im usin this crap but it was the best i could find and im maxin at 37% stun
help would be appreciated

I'm hitting 40% stun. Using Carbtetraide Vertex Gemstone 845OQ 988SR 999UT, Erih Crism Ore 983OQ 240SR, and Obiate Steel.

Yea, I've got some 44% stun segments laying around :>

You should switch to moopoe

hmm, my composite noobishness is showing.
I've only ever taken my stun layers to segment stage before, and with my 86% experimented stun layers I got comp segments with 39% stun.
But just now I took em to the complete armor stage and got 40% stun gloves. Is it normal for conversion of segment to armor to increase the stun by 1%? Tested twice to make sure (wondering what I should do with two 40% stun/65% base comp gloves now lol)
My segments with 13% stun, still resulted in 13% stun in the armor.
The only problem now... is would that work with helm and other parts as well. I know how freaky comp can be with chest working out different then other parts half the time, so I dunno if those layers would produce 40% stun gloves, but 39% stun everything else.

I got 39% stun segments, but 40% stun gloves, and I'm unsure what other armor parts would reach. So you might be able to reach 40% stun even without that old Erih crism.
Edit: And these were with just normal great result experimentations. I was just throwing stuff together for testing purposes.

Sometimes the segments are like 13.6666666% ( just a made up example ) and if you have three segments that are all 13.66666666%, it'll add up to 40.9999998%. So a slight change can give you a slightly better result

using those same resources if i dont get amazing combines i wont hit 40%. i've tried it both ways and wind up on the fence at 39-40

exactly. just because they all say the same % and the same # doesnt mean they are actually the same. i always make it a point to run the schematics into a pair of gloves just to be sure of what i'm going to end up with before i go nuts.

Well, I finally free'd up enough factory time to produce some 39% stun segments using Moopoe, Obiate, andDuraepah in the stun layers, and as with the gloves using just 1 segment, with 3 segments helms areproduced with40% stun. (still think it's weird that 39% stun segments make 40% stun armor)
And if any of you other bria armorsmiths are in need of duraepah there's some being auctioned here
