OK, well...

I haven't yet made Novice Armorsmith.

What should I grind as far as experience...AND...let's say I have basically unlimited access to resources. I want MAX exp per item made.

So using engineering 4, What's the best item?

Then as a Novice Armorsmith? etc...

Also, what skills should I pick up first?

Also, do any other skills compliment (or help) out an armorsmith? Not for making pieces or gathering resources...but give actual armor making benefits?

Do any of my artisian benefits carry over to Armorsmith? Is it worth mastering Artisian for being JUST an armorsmith?

I also want to build a GOOD PVE armor for my guild mates. What is the best...and I don't want to hear Composite...because it's really not. Ubese so far looks the best...but I want to keep the HAM costs down as far as possible. I have a great 77% Kenetic Ubese set with a nice low cost as a Trandoshan (like low 200s in all but mind at 280) Is that a good #? And can it be beat? And is there better armor for grinding melee professions? I have tried Composite...I HAD to run buffs to do any fighting...and sometimes to even wear it. My ubese will let me run around and never buff and still kill at a good rate.

Thanks...

I am on server tarquinas...so any useful info will help bunches. I seem to be the only person doing armorsmithing in my 100+ member guild.

Wind Generators to Novice

Well I didn't do this but it is a quick way up the trees - Do Armorweave chests.

But for easy grinding you should look at Armor Upgrade kits and climb to 3//0/0/0 and do Ubese shirts the rest of the way. (my grind was all Armor upgrade kits)

The Tech line gives you experimentation points, you will make better armor going up to master IF you care to make armor before master .

Nope

Mastering Artisan gives you schematics for PSG components, no other benefits

An 80% Kinetic enc sliced composite mini suit will be just as light, and last twice as long.

72%+ Ubese andafter that 40-65% Chitin- a nice viable middle armor for PVE

Add a voritor scale to your ubese, and you have 80% kinetic ubese, that, with an encumb slice is far lighter than comp can be made

Thanks...

Known bug that's been around for many many many months. It nets slightly less xp, but I'd recommend mineral survey devices, instead of crafting tools. This bug only affects crafting tools in practice mode.

Excellent, I will be using all the advise I get.

Wind Generators to Novice sounds easy enough. Yea, I'll probably go ahead and knock out the experiment points first...I plan on learning and having some fun, not just grinding it all to Master first. Got about 40 Voritor pieces last night by accident I was just looting and killing voritors for $ and hides...and noticed a full inventory of those.

I will probably build full suits of what I need, and any requests from my guildmates. Grinding wise...I'll see which nets me the most in practice.

ok, so if I was practicing using the tool schematic...then it would close when it finished practicing. But, lets say I was practicing making hide boots (they gave me90 crafting xp)...and it still does it?

Any time I practice anything using a crafting tool, it closes my open session when another tool finishes it's practice countdown. Doesn't really matter what schematic I am using. And it is totally a let down.

I'll double check it tonight...but I am almost positive I have tried crafting tools, boots, weapon mod kits and a few others...and it still does it.

If you have unlimited resources like you say then craft mabari chest until personal 4 they give like 393 xp. At personal 4 craft padded chest because they give high 700. I think it's like 733. Although i'm not sure what kind of xp that wook black hills armor gives, never crafted it.

That's what I was wanting.

Basically I have more resources than I can shake a stick at. Absolute TONS of crap resources...everything in the list for making every type of armor on the armorsmith list. So grinding isn't going to be an issue, I just wanted the FASTEST way to getting it done.

Oh, and I have about 400K-700K of some REALLY awesome resources for making Comp armor....but those won't be wasted on grinding though.

I will be starting armorsmith pretty well off.
