Interesting thing I noticed about experimenting the other day.....
When experimenting on an item have you noticed that the complexity of the item increases every time you experiment... The net effect is that if you experiment one point at a time, compared to say 2 large blocks, the complexity will be 10 more. This has a big impact of factory times, for example if you make layers and experiment 1 point at a time it will take 50% longer for the layers to finish than if you did 2 large blocks.
Just something to think about....
Factories base the construction time on the original pre-experimentation complexity

Not true.

Not true.
From the architect FAQ:
Q-4.6: Does schematic complexity from experimentation affect the factory run time?
A-4.6: No.
From Bandola: "It has been proven that it is only the original complexity that counts, not the experimented final complexity. If unsure try it yourself with something simple like walls, they still take 120 secs per whether at unexperimented 15 complexity or fully experimented 20+, I have made tens of thousands of walls, always fully experimented (useful for checking if you are in an experimentation rut before hitting the big stuff) and I always get 120 secs per."

If this is true, you rock for noticing it.
