RIS armor isnt for real use it sucks.
And unless something has changed BH doesnt have blast damage
If you want use armor uy stun layered stuff and get it sliced if you want a decoration for your home or vendor get RIS

Oh yes - and never use RIS against a BH as one of the standard weapons they use is Acid, the scatter is powerful and fast and AP1, so RIS will offer near no protection.....

Thanks!
I was including blast and stundamage for other PvP attacks.
Would a krayt segment component offer any added protection against acid/ scatter pistols despite AP1 on scatters?
What about components to offer maximum protection vs. the other elements?

If you absolutely want to wear RIS when fighting people who use Acid damage weapons, then you should go with 3 acid layers. That would give you 40%+ Acid resistance. The armor would still be vulnerable to Stun damage, but you could use a PSG to cover that. You could also try 2 acid layers and 1 stun layer if you don't want to have to use a PSG, but at that point your Acid resistance is going to get pretty low, especially against a Rifleman who is using an AP2 DXR-6b Rifle. Also, I haven't seen anyone try it yet, but if you got ahold of a yellow named Krayt scale that had a high acid resist bonus, then you could add that in, too, however you'd also push everything else up into special protection and thus wouldn't be albe to benefit from an effectiveness slice. In the end though, you're still going to be better off going with composite.

Thank you very much for the insight.
Hmmm
With that in mind I guess I am better offf using RIS to counter all other types of damage. What components and %s should I be looking for maximize other protections?

The best possible PvP armor you can get would be high stun comp that has been lucky enough to get a 90% slice.....
Just you will need to start with base at 70% ish and then slice about 20 sets...

Quite true, but I was inquiring about blast resistance because it is useful in melee combat vs. 2H, but thanks
