Thread: question about advanced armor cores

hey all,
i have a few quick questions about adv armor cores....
i havent crafted any armor yet using anything other than just the "armor cores", i realize i have basic and advanced as well. i also realized they require very specific ingredients, like only stuff from certain planets and such.
so i heard somewhere that if you use advanced cores, you get better armor... like "advanced composite armor" or something. it sounds like the only stuff you should ever be using is advanced cores. its almostpointless to offer regular cores and basic cores too, isnt it?so why do they even offer the other types?
also... i dont have schematics for any other types of armor, just the regular styles, if i use advanced cores in the crafting process, will it automatically make the armor better or do i need some kinda special schematics too? how much better does it make it anyway?
so basically should i always use advanced cores when i craft and is that the normal thing to do for all AS? or will my armor cost more than other AS's if i use advanced cores?
i know these are stupid questions, hopefully someone can answer them for me.

And the reason there are basic and standard cores in the game is that the armor made with them has lower hindrances that the advanced cores. Combat types aren't able to fully mitigate the hindrances of advanced armor until they reach master.

advanced is the only type of armour to really make there the same as normal ones just better protection and you just use them in armour like you would with normal cores there is no schematic for other types of armour other than the ones in your datapad

I do not make basic anymore but I do make standard. I use them to make economy armor for noobs. It is a very useful way to get rid of sub-par resources you no longer need.
And one thing you have not figured out yet: the cores ARE the armor. the style of armor (composite,Mabari, etc...) no longer matters. Style is now just appearance (hence why they are called Appearance schematics)
There is no effect on the cores stats when combined with any specific armor type. (except of course the +400 added to the stats when crafting the final piece, bonus is less for standard and basic cores)
