Hi never been to the CH board before... skimmed FAQ but have fast question if someone could spot me an answer.

I am going for MBH and dabbling in CH. Currently I am 0-1-0-0 (pretty sucky).

A friend told me the first skill line is for taming only, and that the branch I built up will let me use higher level pets. Is this right? It seems that I would have to be 1-1-0-0 to use a CL25, not 0-1-0-0.

Could someone let me know? Thanks.

You need to build both Taming and Training branches.

1-1-0-0 you get a slightly non sucky pet
2-1-0-0 you get a slightly non sucky aggro pet (a red dot pet)
3-2-0-0 you get a graul mauler

Anyway, that's until December.. then all the dabblers will get nerfed when they change things

Went to 1-1-0-0 and fell in line with every other dabbler and got a GSP and I LOVE it!

I am thinking about going for MCH actually if I ever complete the arduous climb (grind) to MBH. You would think 2-4-4-4 is close, but it really, really isn't. Its not even half way =/.

first off:

make fun of your friend. you were right, they were wrong. you've earned it. dabbler though you may be, YOU'RE the CH, and they're just guessing.

I recommend forcing them to wear hotpants (ONLY hotpants) and circle theed shouting 'my friend knows more about CH than I do!'

if they refuse, I'm pretty sure I remember BH's having a nice little trick called 'Fire Knockdown'.

secondly:

good luck with investigation. I don't envy you, especially with the newly broken, and newly fixed, and newly broken, etc investigation xp and payouts.

and I didn't immediately mention it, because you indicated that you would possibly/likely pursue mastery... but BIG changes are coming for the CH skill tree. I'd tell you more, but they really are too huge to summarize effectively, and won't really matter if you go all the way to master.

and for your next question... we don't know when the changes are going to happen.
