Thread: Is this normal? (about energy cores...)
CORE A: 6903 Energy / 4641 Kinetic / 5772 Elemental
CORE B: 6978 Energy / 4716 Kinetic / 5847 Elemental
When I make the final armor with both cores, the result it's the same: 7131 Energy / 4869 Kinetic / 6000 Elemental.
This is with all type of armors, my cap is always the same 8131 (recon) 6131 (assault).
Is this normal? What is wrong?
Thx and salute.
To my understanding all cores have a hard cap
These caps reflect energy portion of the core
recon---------8200
Battle---------7200
Assault-------6200
peace out
But my dude is why 2 diff cores give the same final stats?
Anyone?

If you know about the caps, then you should be able to see what is going on
You have made energy layered battle, using exactly the same layer resources but your segment and or core resources are different. However, in both cases your base is greater than 5600. Hence you will get less than 400 on your final combine.
Core A will get 6000 - 5772 = 238 added to all protection values
Core B will get 6000 - 5847 = 153 added to all protection values
You are wasting good segment and core resources making core B, and to be honest the samecould be said for core A. You want to aim for a core with as close as possible value to 5600 (5600 or 5601 are great targets
) so that you take full advantage of the 400 final combine adder.
You need to think of layers differently to segments and cores. You are capping your armor and so apply the layer energy value multipled by 12 to the 6000 unlayered capped energy value for battle to see what your final energy value will be. The only way to get higher energy values on your final armor is to improve you layer resources.
Your energy layers are 1131 divided by 12 = 94.25
There is more explanation in the stickies about this if you want to know more, look for a thread titled "caps and layer, segment, core maths for starting smiths"
