I am going to make my alt an AS and i was wondering, since humans can get an extra two experimentation points during crafting, should i make my alt human? or do the extra points barely make a difference?
Thanks.
P.S. I think humans are boring, so if the points dont make a difference id make my alt Ithorian or something...

Humans only can be 14pt Artisans. Thats all they get the bonus for.

I guess i didnt word my question well enough.
The question was, is it worth it to make my alt human (a boring and bland species that is played way too much Imho)
Or can i be a trando AS and have a max of 12 pt's and not worry about being sub-par?
Is there a big difference between 12 pt's and 14 pt's???

You can not be a 14pt AS. The only bonus that is applied as a human is to Artisan Experimentation. The best possible AS experimentation is 12 pts. For the most part all you need is 10 pts anyway, the CU did away with creative selection of experimentation lines. The only difference you'll notice is on the condition of the armor.

You're safe with being a Trando if you'd like. The 14 pt you would have for artisan really isn't terribly important, there is not that much experimentation needed, so you won't notice the lack. Getting to be 12 pt for Armorsmith isn't required like it used to be, but is still usefull for getting additional condition on armor.
Currently I am myself a human armorsmith/smuggler, I have a 12pt armorsmithing suit, and no additional for artisan. I don't think I've actually crafted anything artisans make in months, so I don't worry about it.
