Thread: Is RIS still going to be rare?

Trying to figure out if they are going to be changing the looted components for RIS after the CU. What is your opinion on this?
I am getting ready to purchase a large amount of GDK scales, woolymander bones and gurk hides and want to know if I should just hold off.
If they are not changing this, then GDK scales are going to be hard to get.....

Good, then I better buy ever GDK scale I see. They are going to get even rarer...

In my opinion, demand for RIS will go down, because fewer people will be able to wear it AND it will not be any better than any other battle armor.
That can only mean prices on these components will be dropping (assuming supply stays the same).
I'm not buying any more until after CU.

They are saying that RIS will be better than the other armors. No matter though, I have a master pikeman and can just make all the RIS I want for myself

yes and no, some people use it to fight in, other indivuduals like me and my guildie/friend who i looted the stuff together with, never use it for combat, its there as deco, and occasionally takes a trip to the cantina for some fresh air

demand may go down or up......but with the way combat will be, the supply of scales will go down, no more soloing kimos
so, I am sure prices of scales will go back up
right now RIS is selling 1.5-2mill per peice on valcyn and GDK scales for 500-700k
I will raise prices on RIS after CU till I see how things stabalize

I think it will still be rare. The devs have said if you have the best armor/weapon of it's class before CU, it will be that way after CU.
How many suits of 80/80base padded has everyone seen on their servers? RIS must become the best battle armor there is post CU which will make demand for it go up I expect (and hope).
But, who knows.

all battle armor that is made with the same amount of segs will have the same stats. the way i see armro crafting is going to be 3 base suits. recon battle and assult. then you can put 1-4 segs into the armor depending on how heavy you want to make it. Then you can choose the what ever skin you want it to have. however i do not know how they will do this with RIS Because of the extra componets you will need. however i do think that it will be better because i have a feeling the devs are going to give stats to the RIS componets that will give the Armor special enhancements. This is a guess of course but we will see in time.
