Thread: Questions about crafting and glowy and fs

Redirection please if there's info that covers this:
1. I'm not even sure if a cl 1 can get glowy...the points of interest can be done, but the theme parks...if a cl 1 fully templated artisan grouped with someone who could kill the mobs in the theme parks, would that count as the cl1 completing the theme parks?
I belive the 2 badges you get from the noobie quests count, the trivia librian badge, race trace badges, you can also go and get the evidence disks and turn them in for 1 of the warren badges. All can be done with 0 combat
2. What is the benefit of being a fs crafter?
As the other poster said this makes a huge differnece, if nothing else, it'll help establish you as a serious crafter.
3. Once you get glowy, are there trees worthwhile for an artisan that just take crafting xp to complete or are they all combat?
You can actually doo all your FS grind W/O firing a single shot or killing a single mob. You can grind out the 4 trees in the crafting tree and turn in merchant xp (this will need to be done alot) and perhaps entertainer xp as well to get you the other 2 branches (i'd do surveying and whatever else)
4. If a fully templated artisan gave up a few boxes of merchant to pick up a single weapon, would that be enough to even open enough trees for jedi, or would you have to dump a Master elite craft title to ever get a jedi slot open? Prolly could never get through the jedi trials, I suspect.
As for the quests to unlock go, if you group with a few frineds you can do some of the combat quests with their help. w/o novice marksman or brawler you can grab a lvl 1 weapon and you'll have a 75,000 xp point cap, you you could get some combat xp banked if you want to get thr ranged and melee defence lines if you like
Pretty much, I would love to open my other char slot. I don't want to give up a master craft title, I'd give up what I had to if it were possible to get padawan and then change back. It seems most of the jedi are making crafters out of their open slot. But it seems a crafter cannot open their other slot without giving up an elite craft profession?
You can do this w/o dropping all artisan skills. I did my entire grind (and have recently unlocked) and never dropped Below Master Armorsmith, artisan 4040, and Merchant 3004
Thanks for the info.

MANY MANY MANY HEARTFELT THANKS!!!!
The problem with a CL1 getting to the village is the trip there. It use to be not a problem, armor and a buff and you were fine (for the most part). Now it is much more tricky to get out there, but can be done. Cashing in merchant exp (needs to be done every other day) will be difficult and take you 6 months for a branch.
Basically if you want jedi, then go combat. Getting 6 branches will be much easier for you then and you can get branches that will be useful to a jedi.Your jedialt can become force sense and pick up the two branches of interest to a crafter, assembly and exp. That is most likely the best solution for you, if you are serious about unlocking. Either way you want your crafter to have at least the experimentation line.
I agree that combat is the way to go as far as speed goes... however some people like myself want to have certain skills to enhance the crafting prof. Alot of people say that it's a pain being CL 1 making dath runs, but it can be done.
A few suggestions for doing this...
1) group with a cl 80, agro radius is still based of your cl, but mobs no longer 1 hit you
2) use a swoop and get some terrain neg modded clothes (makes going up moutains much easier)
3) if you can get a friend to help you get the hero of tat ring, this will save you from having to clone and retravel the distance.
4) keep your radar at 256m and your overhead completly zoomed out. Keep an eye out for lairs and stear away from them.
5) Dath Camo kits
These will not gaurentee a safe trip everytime, but it helps... I mostly just keep an eye on the radar and tab around looking for lairs, this usually helps me stay alive quite well, most of the time the server does not update till it on or just past you, but keep a good heads up and keep the graphics low, this has helped me get past the spawns since lower graphis means less lag on my end.
