I'm not exactly sure what "good"statsfor layers, segments or cores should be.. I'll give you what I have now. I'm currently making segments made with only energy layers and the stats are 587 kin, 1187 energy, and 892 on cold/heat/acid/elect. I know the kin is low, but this is mainly for Jedi hunting.

To calculate energy is pretty simple as you can directly see the hidden general protection GP or commonly referred to as 'base' in the cold/heat/acid/elect values without additional calculation. Your segment base is 89% or 892,that is good as1000 would be the cap. The energy layers are 1187-892=295/4=295 that is not that good anymore, cap here is 400. You will make Cores depending on yourresources after my formula (TC ep3 testing) EPcore=(2750*GP+250)+EPS1+EPS2+EPS3. assuming you can experiment your battle cores to 90% you will get 2750*0.9+250+1187+1187+1187=2725+3561=6286. The final armor will have 6686 energy if it is battle armor and 7686 if it is Recon. Very good armors are 8100 or better for energy layered recon.
