Why would you use 3 resource deed to capUnlayeredarmor??? Just use 1 primuslayer and poor resource and you still have better resist than UNLAYERED armor. That just don't make sense.

be nice to the guy, he's still figuring this out. I know I've used a resource deed or two on stuff I later wish I hadn't

Okay, Im trying to cap Battle Armor Unlayered. I've burned 3 resource deeds and Im approaching not being able to make a profit on this. Here's what Im working with.
Battle Segments come out to 948, using the following.
Steel 927 / 998
Wooly 1000 / 934 (I think Server Best)
Polymer 965 / 886 (server best)
Aluminum 917 / 849
Cores came out to 5513 using above segments and the following:
Naboo Hide 757 / 896 (server best)
Cor. Fiber 853 / 958 (server best)
Ext. Ore 918 / 887
Phrik Alum. 917 / 849
Bery Copp 742 / 462
Gemstone 883 / 960
I am on Bria, and as far as I can tell server best for the Bery Copper is 938/452. Because I spent money on all the other resources, and the Bery Copp I mined, Its the last resource I was thinking of using another 30k deed on. Will that push me to 6k? I dont know how to calculate it. I have to make at least 5600 on the core to cap though is what I have read?

There is a tool called armorsmith's little friend and you can punch in your stats and it will give you final numbers. As far as I know it was updated for the CU
do a search and you will find it, it is also on swgcraft in the forums somewhere
you might have a tough time turning a profit using resource kits, especially since if you buy them. Chances are you can find another armorsmith that has a stash of resources he will sell for 20-50cpu, and that will be a lot cheaper than kits (100cpu+)
berrylius copper was a composite resource preCU so chances are that there is a smith or two that will sell you a chunk of it. the the server list post on this page for a list of Bria smiths and I bet one would sell you some cheaper than 100cpu

Okay. Im trying to be patient, and appreciate the helpful posts, but the one guy that makes me feel like im just stupid kinda ticked me off. Naboo Bristley, good quality no where to be found, used a Deed. Good polymer, no where to be found, best I found is 800/830, so I used a deed. Corellian Fiberplast was the lowest stat I had on hand at 500/800 or so. So I used a deed.
Just where should I have used my deeds then? Doesnt 1 Primus Layer, with excellent resources only have the chance of raising the final core by 200pts? Thats if I can get excellent resources. Now I have alot more resources involved, and probaly junk ones, unless I use a deed. I figured that to make the best armor possible, I should be able to cap unlayered, then work on capping layered.
If its acceptable for you to make worse than the best, thats fine, But I did not think you could cap layered armor at 6600, without capping out on your unlayered cores first, If I am wrong, please correct me, as the information would be most helpful.
