i think a great way to make the armor everyone wears more varied is this: Right now comp armor can have resists to lots of different types of damage with relatively high numbers. i propose during experimentation only allowing one of those numbers to go above 20 percent. that way u get really specialized armor. then different armors can be me made which still allow resists to lots of damage types but only really allow one ofthose types to be very resilient. and maybe comp can get that energy resist. and the devs can come up with new armors which allow other resists to be experimented on. this would create a truckload of money for armorsmiths imo.

Hehe, yeah, that would make a ton of money for armorsmiths, but somehow I don't think the rest of the SWG community will be in favor of such a change.

i would like it. right now i think composite armor spoils everyone. and aside from the numbers and combat aspect of it, it makes the game look dumb somehow with everyone running around in the same kind of armor. just the visual variety factor alone is a reason to have lots of different specialized armors. imo.

If they increased Ubese to get between 30k-40k condition also, a LOT more people would wear Ubese. Same with Chitin, it just wears out way to fast.
Composite has the best resists, lasts the longest out of any armor, you could change the colors, looks fairly cool............... Why WOULDN'T anyone wear Composite?
NERFING doesn't solve anything, it may put a band-aid on the problem temporarily, but it ends up making everything worse in the long run.

ryche i honestly wouldnt see it as a nerf. i look at as a way to make armor selection more immersive. do i buy the armor with 80% kinetic resist and 20% heat or i do buy the armor with 80% stun and 20% energy. i think it could make for a very fun time. instead of just buying the uber composite with 80% resists to everything. and if u think seeing everyone in composite is not unattractive thats fine. everyone is entitled to their opinion. i personally just think the more variety the better.

I think a better solution would be to nerf the primary resis to Comp and severly buff the primary resis to the other armours. Then ultimately Comp would still be the best in that it would give good protection to all damage types. However if you were clever you could make a superior suit of armour that was a combination of parts fromdifferent types ofarmours. It would offer the chance to be creative with armour instead of the current choice of comp or comp.

You think everyone in composite makes people look too much alike... go play Lineage II. Now, THAT is terrible.

If they did it like this I'd have to start stocking composite for every damage type instead of just kinetic, energy and stun. Ick.

I kinda agree with ya, not knowing the persons weakness on Composite would make PvP VERY interesting. It would be cool to be able to pick 1 weakness for Composite.
