I was wondering if having both a shield gen and armor on gives you better resists? I know you can equip them both but do they work together or not? thanks

They do work together. Damage comes off the shield first and then the armour.

To be more specific Say you are wearing 90% base armor ( energy in base) with a 50% energy shield. Shields are AR 1, so 50% off the initial damage. Say it is a 1000 pt energy shot. Shield AR 1, takes 500 points off. 50% energy resists an additional 250 pts. That's 750 points off the initial shot. Your armor now faces 250 points. Armor is also AR1, leaving you 125 points. 90% base eats 112.5 points, leaving a mere 12.5 points rounded for your ham bars to eat. Of course, a couple shots later, and your shield has been eaten....

I'm not sure if the AR1's stack or not. But if your psg protects against it, expect to be godlike if you're wearing respectable armor as well. And considering that they have no ham encumb, you can't go wrong... as long as your rich
