ok I see that now. So yes you only need 6 Same Serial Enhancers at a time.

But My other point is, and maybe my main point here is why is gods name would anyone go through all this just to make 1 single piece of armor? Seems like a huge time burden for what may be marginal benifits.

If they removed the Factory Run on Cores. All would be well.

I agree with you there.

If hindrances don't stack I wonder if bonuses do. In other words is a +7 health bracer just as good as a whole suit of +7 health pieces.

Krayts seem to be dropping +5 to +9 scales in sets of 12 and 13, which should help

the Devs have stated that in this new system Armorsmiths with better themselves from the competition by using Enhancers. Well Lets look at the reality of this:

You need 3 segments per Core and you need 4 Cores to make a Chest Piece. (We need to assume we are making Adv Armor here, why would you add enhancers to lesser armor). So this is 12 Segments 15 once you count the Factory Schematic. Each Segment can hold 1 Segement Enhancer. So you need 15 of the same Serial Numbered Enhancer to make 1 single piece of Enhanced Armor. For a full suit you would need 11 cores so 33 Segments so 35 Enhancers per suit. All of the same Serial.

By making Armor Appearance pieces require Factory Crated Cores you by default require Factory run segments. I tested this by using none factory run Segments in a Core Schematic and it did not make a Core once placed in a factory.

So now in order to make 1 piece of 'Enhanced' Armor. you need to do the following:

Gather 18 Same Serial Segment Enhancers

Gather 5 Same Serial Core Enhancers (if you wish to also add core enhancered armor)

Burn 3 Segment Enhancers making a Segment Schematic

Use the 15 remaining to make 4 Factory made Schematics

Burn 1 Segment (3 more segment enhancers, total 6 down the drain) and 1 core Enhancer to make a Core Factory Schematic

Use the remaining 4 Core Enhancers to make 4 Factory Crated Cores

THEN finally after about 3.5 hours of work make ONE SINGLE piece of Enhanced Armor!

Who in thier right mind would actually DO this?

One thing to consider is that advanced cores do not require three identical segments. They instead have three segment slots, much as segments have four layer slots.

Then maybe I am doing something wrong here.
Here is what I tested:

Made 6 hand crafted Assult Segments, with Prima Layers (factory made)
made 1 factory schematic (using up 3 segments)
placed the other three in the hopper with other resources
hit go

this yielded NO core.

I need to have the same Serial Segments if I am to make Factory Run Cores.

Am I missing something?

It's late for both of us I see but I'll give it a go.

Makeone run of three different segments. We'll call them segments A, B and C.

Make 1 run of cores using those segments. Segment slot 1 gets segment A. Segment slot 2 gets segment B. Segment slot 3 gets segment C.

Make 4 cores for the final chest.

Assume you enhance each segment. (Has that even been tested????) You need 3 stacks of 6 enhancers. (4 for the cores +1 for the core schem +1 for the segment schem).

Yep that's exactly what I am saying. In order to make Factory run Cores you Must by Default, make factory run Segments. With that in mind you are going to use 18 Enhancers: 16 for the Segments, 1 for the Seg Schem and 1 for the Seg that going in the Core Schem.

BTW. Enhancers have not been tested as they are all bugged. However, the Devs posted today this should be in the Saturday or Sunday Hotpatch. This is what I am bringing this up.

How the Heck are we going to gather 18 of the Same Enhancer (same Serial) and then make 2 factory runs just for ONE Single Piece of Armor?

Seems kinda insane Doesn't it?

This is where you're missingit mate. You need 3 stacks of 6 identical enhancers. Not one stack of 18. While you could do it with larger stacks, it isn't required.
