Hello all,
First off if what i'm about to ask is in a FAQ please post the link (I was not able to find anything)..Okay..Before the CU I had the once was great 90% composite armor, Now my armor is like Kintic 5000, I really do not unstand what good armor stats are now, (I think it's Kintic 5000 i'm not at home atm to look)..So what i'm asking is could anyone be so kind as to tell me about the new armor stats and whats good whats not..etc..etc...

What the heck do these numbers mean?
The four-digit number on your armor is technically the independent variable in a quadratic equation forpercentile resistsmapping the domain [0, 10000] onto the image [0, 60]. In layman's terms, that means that the armor rating signifies a percentile resist (as in the old system) ranging from 0 to 60%. Because the equation is concave quadratic, you get diminishing returns for higher resists.
The actualfunction is: 60 * (AR/10000) + { [ (10000 - AR) / 10000 ] * (AR/200) }
Which reduces to: 0.011 * AR - 5E-7 * AR * AR
Some hard numbers:
1000 = 10.5%
2000 = 20.0%
3000 = 28.5%
4000 = 36.0%
5000 = 42.5%
6000 = 48.0%
7000 = 52.5%
8000 = 56.0%
9000 = 58.5%
10000 = 60%

I always say 6000 is a good number to shoot for. The innate (built-in) armor of a teras kasi master is equivalent to 6000. Numbers above that usually come at increasing cost for a decreasing benefit.
