Hello, I was able to respec to AS with the only intention of making factional armor for my guild, so every1 has armor and not just the rich, I have a few questions that i cannot find answered in the faq, if you could give me a clue or the anwser - i would really be grateful

1. what are these?

Advanced Armor Layer Primus
Advanced Armor Layer Secundas
Advanced Armor Layer Tertius

2. I am still hunting for some resources -for acid and kinetic layers i dont have the resources to build them - does this mean i cannot make armor or are they optional?

1 Read the descriptions on the schematics for what they do

2 All layers are optional

Advanced layers bump multiple stats at the cost of multiple stats. Primus is the only one to bother with at the moment as it boosts kinetic and energy at the expense of elemental damage. That's okay because the elemental damage weapons are dealing is insignificant compared to the kinetic and energy damage.

Using layers is completely optional and not even preferable in most cases. They add a huge amount of expense for a tiny bump in protection. Remember the difference between 6000 and 7000 protection armor is only about a 4% damage reduction.
