Ok. When we make kinetic composite, we put a bunch of experimentation into basic resistances, and that bumps up the Kinetic resistance just fine. It's how we can get the wonderful 80% kinetic/60%+ base armor.
So, why is it when I make ubese or Wookiee armor, the same thing doesn't happen? Does anyone know WHY this happens? I have to throw my experimentation into special to get that Kinetic resist up, meanwhile I end up with base around 15%-22%.
Anyone got any ideas?

In composite, kinetic is part of the base resists and when you add layers the additional amount is added to that base resist value. So to get the kinetic resist to increase on composite you would need to raise the base resists which means experimenting on effectiveness.
For ubese and wookie armor, kinetic is pure special protection so the amount layers add to the resist is added to whatever the armor's natural special protection is. For these armors, to get the kinetic resist to increase you need to raise the value of the armor's special protection.

That's all fine and good but there is no continuity to it... I was wondering this myself before...
And while I came up with the idea that You did ChryssSR, it just doesn't make sense to me... And here is why... How come the electric protection gets experimented up when we experiment on the base protection of Composite armor... It is not considered part of the base resistances, yet when experiementing the base line, we find that the Electric Protection Scales up Along with the Base Protection, even though to start with Electricity is Composites Special Protection...
The only sound answer I came up for to this question is... "Composite Armor is Spechhal..."

The electricity resist on composite is screwy...all I have to say to that. My statement on how it works seems to hold true since I have the same experience with adding kinetic layers to padded armor. If I experiment on the base resists for kinetic layered padded, the kinetic resist raises along with it (kinetic is a base resist on padded). If I experiment on the special protects for kinetic layered padded, all that goes up is the blast resist...which backs my theory up since even though kinetic is listed as a special protect after layering, it originates in the base resists.

/nods sagely.
Thank you wise one. I agree...
Composite is screwy.
