Thread: Armor re-vamp on the way?
"Padding" wasn't moved to tailor. Its a new schematic given to tailors as a component for the wookiee armor. Its not Padded armor nor has anything to do with it.
If there is a revamp coming, they haven't specifically said. Some of us are trying to come up with ideas on how we think Armorsmith should work though.

What do you mean? What do you consider in-line?

As for padding .. if you examine it .. and/or actually make a piece of it. You will see it most likely WAS a piece of armorsmithing.
First off its experimented .. tailors dont do that.
2nd the qualitys of experimentation are exactly like armor layers .. like it was a new "layer" and I mean EXACTLY.
Conclusion I reached .. it"was"an armorsmith layer.. something new, and they shifted it over to tailoring for the interdependance of the economy
Betcha its gonna be "nerfed" soon as well .. expect it to loose experimentation <like all the tailor stuff .. ie Synthacloth and Reinforced panels did>

Well .. I am not going into it fully .. but make a full suit of ubese .. and a full suit of wookie.
And compair the 2.
I don't think ubese is a good comparison for the first wookie armor. Chitin would be a better comparison since it too has kinetic as a special protect and cannot be layered.
When you compare it to chitin I would say wookie armor is very comperable. The big limiting factor right now is that the resource requirements are new and people have not had the chance to collect better materials. People are achieving kinetic resists on the advanced versionin the 40's withjunk andinto the 50's with ok to good resources.I imagine when optimal resources can be located we will see thekinetic resist raise up into the 60's...not a badstart point for their first set of armor if you ask me.
If there is anything forthem to complain about, it's that the armor was designed to wear out extremely fast.

ok .. Chitin. Make a suit of chitin and do a direct comparision .. I suggested Ubese because we learn them both in the same boxes <no biggy>
Perhaps your right .. chitin would be better .. the wear and tear could be checked as well vs wookie. Been awhile since I used Chitin
