Thread: Rancor Padded Armor Segments???

Good grief, I need some help. Tried to get a price check on the 5 armor segments I looted from a rancor in my trade forum but no one could help. I'd like to know a fair price to sell these things for. They are 12% base effectiveness and 15% heat and cold.
Anyone know how good these things are and what they're worth?

Probably not worth that much, as no one really makes padded. I pick them when I see them cheap, but that only because I'm a packrat and not because I have dreams of making padded that's worth wearing.

Yeha, probably not too much considering most armorsmiths that make any padded armor, make about 13-15% base effectiveness segments. Anything above 18% is good.

Let me give a shot at it. The 12%base are the lowest end of the Rancor Padded Segments, and are far inferior to what can be crafted. With junk/average materials, most can make 15-19%base with less ham, so those would make it much worse. Granted, they offer minimal heat resistance, so they arent all bad. I would flop those onto bazaar for 500-1000 each. Now, if you happen to get really good Rancor Padded Segments (19%-50% base), well, they are worth a lot more.

Thanks for the excellent replies. Guess I'll plop them on my vendor for around 500 and see what happens. Now I know what to look for when I loot all the bull rancors I've been killing while looking for that elusive bull rancor baby.

That is the common "nothing exceptional about it" rancor padded segment...
Base Eff - 12%, Int - 2500, HAM - 20/15/20, Heat 15%, Cold 15%
I have seen better...
Base Eff - 60%, Int - 5525, HAM - 3/6/8, Heat 68%, Cold 47%
If you have any that are closer tothe "better" version, I think you could sell them for a considerable amount, but I can't imagine being able to sell the "common" ones at any price at all.
