Thread: What is better? Master Artisan or Fieldwear II(tailor)?

I am going to be mastering armorsmith along with rifleman, and I am really wondering which would be more useful to a master armorsmith....Master Artisan, or Novice tailor with field wear II. I know that some armors require master artisan components, and most armors need the reinforced panels and synthetic cloth and stuff that you get from fieldwear II. What has a bigger outcome on the quality of the armor? Thanks for any tips you may have.

I would say fieldwear II is more important than master artisan. I havn't used any MA components yet, though I havn't even tried PSG's so they might need some. So I guess if you are planning on working alot with PSG's then MA might be important. Otherwise it really isn't needed.

Do the MA Armour experimentation points count at all? Im not too sure if they do or they don't. You can make Vehicles as a MA

I say neither. I've never had a truly difficult time finding a tailor to make a syn cloth, FPor RFP schematics for me. Get enough materials together and have them make three or four schematics each at a time. I didn't find master artisan terribly useful either.

I think the best thing one can do is to master a melee profession and take novice scout to that they can harvest their own hides.

crestu,

Artisan experimentation does not effect armorsmith experimentation and vice versa. so if you want to make bone armor (an artisan armor) your level of Armorsmith does nothing for you. Same goes for Mabari (the first Armorsmith armor). It doesn't matter what your skills are in artisan, nothing in artisan effects your armorsmith skills.

I agree. Get some scout to collect your own hides. Then i got pistol and some pistoleer (close range is easier to get hides b4 they disappear). then since i knew a tailor i got some merchant to place some vendors and get them on the planet directory. (Its a pain to have someone else load their vendors with your stuff)

How do you kill 1000 warriors? One at a time. If you try to take on the 1000 at once, you have lost before you have begun to fight!
