Well here it comes, mandalorian armor.
While I do think its cool, to be sure, i remember something called RIS armor, you know... the biggest joke in MMORPG history?
Well at least thats what I call it anyway. Its about to become even more of a joke, at least my moneys on that, since im predicting that within a month there will be more mandalorian suits than RIS suits on every server, thus making RIS armor quest the lamest thing you can possibly do.
Seriously devs, can you just bump up the drop rates on some of these things? Ive been collecting ris armor parts for months now, and im only now, just NOW getting to the point where i can make the schematics with my armorsmith. In the mean time, ive churned out 400 stun composite suits, and 1500 non stun composite suits. I wont buy the parts, because I decided in the beginning that I was going to do this by myself, since RIS parts are ridiculously expensive on my server.
Its not even GOOD, why is there this stonewalled resolution to keep RIS armor so rare? Hmm, good idea, keep something thats pretty much nothing more than a new outfit rare, so that people want it so bad......except its crap... and in excess of 40 million dollars to buy.
Yeah smooth idea there.
I dont even mind the fact that the deathwatch bunker will be uber camped, I can deal with that. But as soon as Mandalorian armor becomes more prevalent than RIS armor, they have trashed the continuity again, and also made a mockery of their own ideas.
Some times i despair of what they were thinking. They certainly seem to be very stubborn in some aspects of this game.

I'm pretty much against the Mandalorian armor being in, I hope ends up being more rare than RIS.

I am with Wepps on this one... Take away the danged mandalorian armor that is going to be a bad joke on the BH's anyway, and give EVERYONE a Light Saber instead... Lol.

i hope the Deathwatch bunker has mobs that are 100% resistant to electricity and Acid lolol,. will prevent some camping i think if the people that desperately want the armor cant use their main weapons to get it. I am All for them Having Kinetic, Blast, Cold and Heat Resists though

Since I seem to see 5-10 Jedi for every piece of RIS out there, then I would like to suggest that we should see 5-10 suits of RIS for every Mandalorian armor. Now THAT would keep it rare.
RIS is really sad, especially with the GDK scales and all, when people build cities in the spawnareas reducing the almost nonexistant spawn to nothing.

Sorry supa, the one star bandits attacked you for speaking the truth. I did what i could to correct it.
yeah this is something that drives me nuts too, when this was on friday feature, they never ever said that it was going to be a 30+ million dollar suit of armor.
Nice implementation of a decent idea. /sarcasm off
It should NEVER be that hard to put new armor types in a game.
I dont even NEED new resists, i just want some new LOOKS!
Its called fluff people, and fluff keeps online games going.

I believe this is an instanced dungeon like the corvette, so no camping

everyone keeps talking about millions of dollars, that sounds pretty expensive, cos ive never even come accross one dollar yet in game

When i found out the location for the RIS quest, it was lile COOL, a AS quest. then the headaches began, and the RIS quest became EverQuest all over with he rare drop, and KSing from other ppl going for the same rare drop.
i looked at the stats of the RIS, and was like WHY have that armor for anything other then a wall display. the stats on it suck compared to a high quality Comp armor. and as was stated above its for fluff. which i totally agree with. heck i change suits of clothing and armor all the time just for a different look.
As for Mandalorian armor the way to keep that low i think is to make it like the faction armor, but for Master Bounty Hunters only. even tho im sure everyone would want a suit even just for display, but SWG should make that a KILLER suit ment for hunting down Jedi !!!

Get it through heads people, Mandelorians weren't BH's!!!!!!!!
Besides if it was BH only, good luck getting an AS to help you make it...

Mandalorian armor is armor worn by the mandalorians, a race of mercenaries and fighters. The Fetts wore it cause it was good armor, Its not BH armor.
