Thread: New armorsmith, please help

I have tried to find this out on my own and in game, but have found no answer. I just got Deflector 1. I want to start making deflector components and use that to grind to deflector 2 so I can start making MK1s for my PA mates. Here's my problem: I cant use the schematics offered in Def1.
I took a perfect C&A tool to a public C&A station in Bestine and it is nowhere to be found. So, I opened my WDG tool next to the WDG station and the schematics are not there either. My datapad schematics tab shows the defelector component schematics that I acquired at Def1, so I know they are available to me.
Anyone know why I cant pull them up in either of my tools?

I'm new to armorsmith, but not to crafting in general. I don't know if this fits your particular schematic or not. The reason may be that some schematics require a private crafting station. They won't show up with the public ones.

Thanks for the assist. It was also the exact right answer. I was trying to use the public stations in Bestine, but after trying your suggestion at a merch tent in my home city, the schematics were right there.

I think you hit the proverbial nail on the head. I think you need a private crafting station to do this. Check the requirements for the schematic and it will likely say something to the effect of "requires a specialized crafting tool (your C&A tool) anda private crafting station (aka any station not located in an NPC city)".
