great success adds %7 and Amazings add 8%.

I always use 3-4 points at a time so when i do get an amazing i get the added 4% often times enough to save me a point.

As for doing anything special to get an amazing, If your on Lowca I hear typing /tip Ollopa 100000 Bank before each experimenting gives a +37% chance of getting an amazing over a great .

Seriously as far as i can tell it is random, I seem to get just as many if not more using my droid to craft with.

Happens much more often in cities that have the research center option on. Its better than a great success, but it depends on what you are making how much it will help.

Beat this - I have a 43% crafting station - 15% crafting tool - live in a research center - drinkand eat etc.... But still don't get many, 90% are great with the other 10% being a mixture of crits to amazings.

What I have found is that what you are experimenting on and how you use the points affects the results - for example some crafts I do on layers seem to get 50% amazings if I use a certain amount of points on the first experiment - I think the one I can remember is blast layers and 5 points on the first experiment on the middle bar. Then again - sometimes it seems I can never get past the greats (do 30 / 40 in a row and only ever get greats)..

I would love to know how it actually worked because I cant get my head around it... Only thing to do it play around untill you get a way to experiment that gives good results. One thing for sure - experimenting point by point and as a block will never give exactly the same results.

On your comment on what does an amazing do - look at the % on the bar, even if it does not give any extra on the resists the % on the bar should be a little higher after an amazing.

First you need Red Ruby Slippers (Note: this is an extremely rare drop). Then you need to visit Oz, click your heels together 3 times before you experiment and loudly proclaim "There's nothin like an Amazing Succes". Easy as pie.

Seriously, you need to craft in a Research Center and have +20 to experimentation and assembly and you need to eat cake before you combine and drink port before each experimentation. It does work but it takes a lot of resources to get an exceptional result on experimentation. Good luck.

im a 10-point armorsmith and so obviously amazing experimentation successes are important. as far as assembly amazing successes i havent seen any difference but with experimentation it makes a huge difference.

things you must do:

1. live in a research center

2. grab some crates ofbespin port withan increase percent of atleast 10

3. MAKE SURE you have a ton ofALL the resources you need for whatever it is you want to craft.

4. when you experiment DO NOT watch the box that says 'it was a great/moderate/poor/amazing/whatever success' keep your eyes on the PERCENTS of whatever bar(s) you are most concerned about. 'great' successes can do a ton of different things-ive seen them be totally crap and ive seen them be fantastic. keep experimenting and watching that percentage-when you see it jump that extra 4 or 5% from what youve been getting for the last 23 tries i bet it will finally be an 'amazing success'

this last two thingsare really the key because what it takes to get an amazing success is time. the first two simply increase your chances of getting an amazing.you have simply have to keep crafting until you get an amazing success. this means 100kunit bricks ofharvestable resources when possibleand as much wooly hide as you can possibly get your hands on.

make sure you have a lot of reinforced fiber panels, synthetic cloth, etcthat are all the same serial number, etc. nothing is worse than finally getting that amazing success and realizing you only 4 more reinforced fiber panels with the same serial number.

good luck
