I am a returning player and have just found that I have 2 resource kits as veteran rewards. Im not sure if I should sell them to fund my AS resource aquisition or keep them and use them.
So which resource is rare enough to warrant not selling them?

They are nice to have, but 30k of something is nothing to an AS, whereas another 3mill never hurt..(3mill is general Ahazi pricing)

The best bang for your buck with resource kits is going to be in the advanced core resources. Seriously don't use the kits anywhere else. If you check out what's needed for the advanced cores and it ends up you're missing 1 or 2... well there you go. Otherwise you would be better off selling the kit and using the money to buy resources in quantities that will last more than 10 suits

And for the most part right now they drop an uber amount of crap hide. Seriously, do you even know how long it takes to get specific hide to drop with good stats?

Current spawn on Intrepid is 900 ish OQ and 650 ish SR
Lvl 80 Tusk Cat missions are nice
witha 105 harvest droid I get about 280-300 hide per harvest. 6-8 cats per lair

900/650 isn't sufficient for me, what is the DR - that counts too.

Only for appearance and I wouldn't dream of wasting nabooian bristley on Marauder and Rebel Battle appearance when any bristley will do the job.

True, but even 900/600 wont let me cap it - shy about 50 pts...

It'll still do. I'd rather use a decent but current/recent spawn of naboo brisley than a resource deed. Personally I see them as a last ditch thing to hold you over when you have absolutely NO access to anything close to decent stats of some resource for advanced cores. Like right now on bria the naboo brisley is crap. there's no huge hordes of high end naboo brisley still kicking around, and ditto for dathomir fiberplast. if either spawn hits something decent I'd jus twind up using that to be perfectly honest.

the resource kits got me up and running. I had a spare that I used for Dath Fiberplast (no-one ever harvested that, from what I could find), and I got another that allowed me to get the naboo Bristley.... since, I have gotten a few more, since both resource spawns are still crap on flurry.
And so far it seems like a solid investment, been churning out faction armor, and I've probably made 60-80 million so far in the past 2 weeks since I logged into the CU.
