Thread: Broken cap?

The only logical reason for this would be hidden decimals.
Instead of 83, maybeyour layers were 83.7 or something making it1004...
But this still doesn't explaing how the +5 got in the cores.

Or why my hinderances are capped if they're not supposed to cap untill 8200. Unless of course they cap seperately as soon as the resists go 7000+
I'm not big on layers. I have hardly used them at all. I was just running some tests for a customer when this strange thing happened.

Hindrances are based on the base and cap at the 6k mark. Layering doesnt do anything to raise or lower the hindrance.
As forgetting getting 272 from Core > Final Piece, its proportional to what your getting from your base to final. Remember the layers add only on top of your base so if your going from 5800> 6000 on that your layers will onlygo up based on that 200.
Err, that made very little sense. Could you elaborate it?

The cap on base is 6000.
The +400 bonus you get on final pieces can't go over that cap.
Therefore, if your core is 5800 you will only get a +200 bonus.
Another way of putting it is that you will only get the full +400 bonus if your cores are 5600 base or less.
There are a few implications of this, 1) you don't need uber resources to hit the cap, 2) if you do have uber resources, stop experimenting your cores at 5600 and put the rest of your points into condition (which can get a little tricky if your cores are layered because base isn't displayed anywhere).
