Anyone know what to charge for Armor Upgrade Kits? I don't want to charge to little and kill the market. BTW, I am on the Valcyn server.

Thanks.

I have been charging100 per kit or 2500 per crate.

They only take 30 resources to make. Although, I'm sure some of the more virtually greedy Armorsmiths will somehow justify charging thousands per kit.

Note that you're charging at less than the resources cost. 30 unit x4 (normal resource purchaseable cost froma miner) = 120 cr/unit. And you're not taking into account the cost of producing these in power and maintenance from your factory.

I'd MUCH rather have greedy smiths (who leave room for undercutting newbs at the bottom end) than price dumping PA powercrafters. Skilled Combat characters make money a LOT faster than a lot of smiths realize.

I'm on Valcyn, too, Sith. What's your name? I'm Royc Cattemara over on Corellia/Tyrena. Mind if I hit you up for some armorcrafting skills one day? :-)

i've been charging 5k for a crate of 25 (at 92% effectiveness, had to track down a really good conductivity metal, to get up to 92% you have to have all the domestic arts line too, which i won't have forever). 100 AUKs = 2000 really good metal, 1000 petro... assuming 5c per material, 15k for material, for 20k payback. I don't think that's too far off.

Can anyone explain to me why I cannot create a schematic for Armor Upgrade Kits? A friend of mine is a Smuggler and I've been supplying him with AUK's, but I've had to make every single one of them manually.

I've tried standing in front of a personal clothing and armor station, personal Weapon, Droid, & General Station, using a generic crafting tool, and using a Weapon, Droid, and General Crafting kit in all different combo's and nothing seems to work.

If anyone knows what the "secret combo" move is to get these babies made into a schematic so I can run it through a factory, please let me know.

Coldfire,

You have to use a Weapon, Droid & General tool and be by a Weapon, Droid & General crafting station.

It confused me for a little bit also because we get the schematic at novice armorsmith but it falls under the general category.

I've tried that, and it didn't work. Guess I'll have to try it again.

Any idea if what kind of factory you need to makecrates of em?

Can anyone use these upgrade kits (armor, weapon)? I haven't used them yet, so I was wondering?

Coldfire,

You may need to use a player crafted crafting station. Many items require one. I've never had problems creating a schematic, but haven't tried outside of my house..

I dont make them. Just like Tristero stated, its not worth the cost. even at 3:1 on the resources, a crate of 25 adds up to 2250 credits worthof resources. then you add in the cost of factory maintenance and power and the price is still over 2500cr a crate (which is what people expect to pay).

Then there are other costs too that cant be added in, like factory run time that is waisted on a negative profit run, and for some, the fact that they are using one of their lots for an equipment factory instead ofeither another wearables factory or a harvester or something. (i have an Equipment factory i put up once a week to knock out some Master Artisan items, but besides that, its pointless to me.)

I also no longer sell factory crates of synth cloth, reinforced fiber panels, or Master Artisan items. I just dont have them to spare. As slow as factories are, i need everything that comes out of them for personal use.

Oovik Nokook (Expert Armorsmith) at your service

Mine are 98% effective and I sell them by the crate at 4k/crate. As long as you've got good materials, producing them is a no brainer. They don't move fast at 4k/crate, but they do move. So I don't do runs of them often. But I've always got some stock when someone comes around looking for them
