Any of you tried using the resource containers? Like buying a few of them and getting 30k of each of the best resources ever produced on the server and seing what kinda armor stats you can produce?

Would depend on how many different types of resources you would need...seeing as the kits usually go for about 3m each, it could make some very nice but VERY expensive armour.

I have gotten tailor (for the second time in my life in SWG! Grinded yes indeed) and I am thinking it would be neat to set up a big house, with a huge display of clothing and have vendors with backpacks that sell certain outfits. I could actually have like 4 outfits I sell at once, so 4 vendors. Each "outfit" coming in different color variations.

Then maybe a month later I change the outfits, and move all the left overs to a sale vendor or something.

Anyone done anything similar? Would people actually come and buy my stuff?

I tried to do that once. It was a major pain. Most customers already know what garment they want, but question the colors it is available in. Or, they will want to "try it on" and see how it fits. People can look up and vew images of all clothing items craftable online. Much less headache.

I sell complete outfits called Grab-n-Go packs
I stock the basic
black/white/silver/gold secondary
ROYBGPBr primary

I set up a display of what the outfit is {outfit = full ensemble, jewelry,shoes,etc}
with a label for it {recently switched to #s since I finally notepadded what they all are}
then label bag #w/e color/color
Usually priced 10k-30k per pack {packs usually have about 5 items total, though some have 10}
I do4 outfits, rotating one out a month, usually with one 'species specific' display per full rotation

These have always been huge sellers
and since I have been taking a break {I mean I have played for two yrs now as a Tailor}and playing EQ2
I have logged in to find about 40 emails asking when are the packs coming back

New players like it for quick style, old love it for ease of buying
both usually buy more then one and come back if they know it is a rotateing in stockthing

one thing to note, it never hurts to try,
if they dont sell break the packs and stock it normal.

wow neat to know someone did this and it worked!! LOVERLY!

I am getting an image in my mind.. i am thinking I could also set up a clothing attachment vendor. I could run around the galaxy buying the super +1 cheap ones.. tempting people to make cheap suites with +10 in smaller tapes.. I mean why isnt everyone running around in tap'd clothing? ya know! Makes more of an excuse to have the outfit. Hell I could even MOD the outfits myself and sell higher on those!!

Lots of neat idea's. Anyone have any other idea's or suggestions? I wanna make a bad a55 mansion. I am trying to deicde which style house to get.

mind it isn't stocked from me taking a break, but you are still most welcome to see what I do for my tailoring business.

it is a set up I am very proud of and it isn't flashy by anymeans, not my toons style-she is a sort of geek hermit minimalist

Well I have a PA hall as my shop and I have all clothing on display that I sell, well minus gloves, jewelry and ithorian items..I ran out of room But I love it, and my customers love it too. If someone comes in, and isn't sure what they want.. they can wander around and see what there is. It's a lot easier for them then sorting thru a vendor forever.

I've not tried the outfit thing yet, but I've been thinking about it., especially since that clicky was posted recently with some awesome outfits in it. The only downfall really with having a house/shop filled with display clothing is that it takes forever to load on my computer..but I have this problem in a lot of shops I visit..but they still look great to me heh.The best advice I can give you, is just start decorating and see how you like it...it takes a lot of time, but it's definitly worth it.
