Yeeeeeessss.
Using 2300 psg [71.5 recharge], and 8100 energy armor i was reading roughly 81% resist to energy based attacks... and with 71.5% regen my efficiency was barely moving. (this was against crit shot againsts lvl 54 bh though)
Time to power up the factorys and start burning iron/ore/steel! woot!
edit:
also, without armor, a 2300 psg resists about 19% energy damage (IE 90/477)
im not sure if the old psg... then armor formula still holds, but this is great for pvp and high end pve

That is really odd seeing as 10k is max and that is only 60% reduction? My PSG have been working against ranged for a bit now.

Not quite, just like pre CU the PSG mitigates first and then the armor mitigates what is left, well this is what is meant to happen anyway unless you have found something different through observation. Please post your resulst if thats the case.
A 2300 PSG is equivalent to about 23% mitigation (round up the decimal) andthe 8000 energy recon armor is equivalent to 56% mitigation. Let's apply these to an example and see the final result
So consider you are hit for 100 damage:
PSG will reduce this 100 by 23%, or 23. So you are left with 77 dmg passed to the recon armor
Recon will reduce this 77 by 56%, or 43. So you are left with 34 going on to damage the soft squishy thing incased in the protection
So the result is that you have ended up with effectively 66% migitation, 34 dmg out of 100 got through.

i havent done the vet since cu.... how many guns are kinetic based now?
and for the mit.... well i tested a 2318 psg with 8120 armor against a t21 and was reading about 81% resisted... not sure how but thats what the combat log showed. /shrug

Hmm ok, I'll have a look at my combat log and see if I can confirm this.
