Thread: PSG Resists...

Sorry if this is newbish... but I've been hunting around trying to find a good PSG (for obvious reasons), and I have to ask, is it possible to have kinetic resists? I find them all with Energy Primary, and then usually Stun, Heat, Electric, etc. Occasionally LS. But I never see kinetic.

Ideally, I'd want a good mix of things. Kinetic, Energy, Heat.. i dunno. Mostly PvE stuff (so stun and LS aren't as big).

Thanks in advance for any info.

Well... now I've searched the forums and I am hearign accounts of like Mk1 shields with kinetic resists. Have shields changed over time to the way they are now? I'd really love to find any kind of shield with kinetic and energy resists (obviously with PvE in mind).

PSG's used to have "shifting" resists, so it was a common technique to have 4-5 available in your pack and then equip the one with the resist you needed for each situation. So kinetic was possible in those days. The devs fixed that problem and locked in the vulnerabilities for the most part (there still were some strangeness with lightsaber resists).

So basically, there's no way to currently get any PSG's with kinetic resist.

No kinetic resists in any PSG, Imperial prototype or otherwise. Most folks are making the IMP PSG and will either max out the special resist (energy) for PvE use or max out all the base resists (all the other) for PvP because of the stun protection. Armorsmiths cannot change what types of damage are resisted.

yeah...main thing is Energy or Stun

Energy will always be in the special category, and I've seen it as high as 66% (Not sliceable higher, since it's "special")

Stun, Heat, Cold, and Electricity are always in the Base, and I've seen base as high as 47% (Sliceable higher)

If you grab a 47% Base one, the armorsmith should be able to hit at least 43% Energy in the special, depending on the server
