Wookiees and ithorians have special clothes so forget them if you want it most generally wearable.

Avoid any gender specific clothes (dresses, etc).

Skip the hat (twi'leks can't wear them) and the bandolier (so you can have pack).

So best bet is:

Shirt (non-female) (prenerf ubese shirt is great, conditionless!)

Pants

Shoes/Boots

Belt

Gloves

Jacket is another option (makes belt look stupid so best avoided hehe)

Furia, Kavala, Xana, Tarantella (Xana's alt, before NGE), all cancelled.(3 accts total)

I'm making an AS suit with 5 pieces.

What 5 pieces of 4 socketable clothing should I use to give me the best resale value down the road.

Or better said, what 5 different pieces of clothing that can have sockets are best to put my CA's into that most species can wear?

What type pants, shirt, belt, etc is best. That is the majority of species in the game can wear it.

any help would be appreciated.

I do believe Ithorians can wear the belts, so that is a must
