Thread: Looted drops and Armor assembly

I have a question about using looted drops (Voritizer scales, Rancor Scales, Kryat scales/segments)
First, i've been able to use some Voritizer scales in the armorenhancement spot for bone armor, is this working as intended? Only about half myvoritizer scales work in the bone armor segments, the other half can only be used in place of them. Any comments or advice?
Secondly, Last i checked, rancor scales, which are supposed to be used for padded armor were only usable in bone armor. Has this been fixed with the last publish? Or can you still only put it in bone armor, even tho it says on the item that its compatible with padded.
third, i've only used dropped segments in single segment armors (Bone and mabari). How do you use it in a more advanced armor like ubese, chitin, tantel.. etc. If i was to make a Composite Krayt Chestplate, would i need 5 scales? One to make the schematic, and the other 4 to make the factory run of identical composite segments? I also have Krayt segments, are these used in the same fashion that the scales would be used in?
Lastly, armor attachments/enhancements. These are meant to be placed into armor once its completed, but is there any reason to put it into armor during the construction process? Since they will fit into the special enhancement slot during segment construction. I assume this would cause problems in the armors that need more than one identical segment.. but i'm not sure, anyone have any input on these issues? Or further questions?

Scales are built into the crafted segments, loot drops segments are used in place of them

Dunno - as far as I know, it hasnt been addressed

Yeah you need 1 extra for a schematic to make them in a factory. They also all need to be of the same serial number. Segments are used directly, so dont need the factory construction schematic waste, but again, they all need to be the same serial number in any piece of armour.

They can ONLY be placed in sockets after construction - they dont (or at least should not) fit into the segment enhancement slot.
