Well I made a master Armorsmith a few weeks ago, and startig with about 3 million I worked my way down to 750k without making and "sellable" armor, mainly buying rare resources, some factories, and getting a nice liittle fleet of harvesters.
So I figured it was time to experiment some more with what I have, and see what I can come up with.
I was pleseantly suprised that I could get 80% kinetic Advanced Composite, holding off on othere special resists until i get more resources, but i am hoping it will sell well as PvP geared armor.
Basicly, I used 2 - 6% Kinetic 2% Base 2/2/ HAM cost Kinetic Layers, and a 13% Kinetic 2% Base 12 HAM cost Layer. Some of the resources were things I had been sitting on for a while, and are no longer available, my Armor Came out (BP) 80% Kinetic, 67% Electric 55% everything Else, and like 247/88/52 on Ham. Now I know its not amzing because the base effectivness is only at 55, I really thought the ham costs would be alot higher tho, and it should be ok for PVE. The Advanced Tab was somethng like 25% Base (all my experimentation went into base effectivnes, with the rest on HAM) and 26% Kinetic Resist.
The questions, I had no luck incresing the base effectivness past 55%, I assume that if I spent more experimentation points in it when making the layers, I could end up with maybe 4% ish on the tabs but it would jack the hams up (I assume alot). What should my tabs look like when I am shooting for a higher base effectivness, is a 1% gain on the tab a 1% gain on the Segment and 1% or does a 1% change to more on the suit? Special effectivness seems to be based in part on base effectivness, I was wondering if I coudl get away with having less kinetic protection over the 3 layers if i raised the base effectivness on all 3.
Also, what would be a good price point for the 80% Kinetic 55% Base Resonable ham cost suits?

any input would be appreciated, specificly what kind of base effectivness do i need to achieve on layers to get into the 60-65% range? Assuming the other components I am using (fiberplast, aluminum, etc) is all quite good quality.

easily and simple, ive become one of flurry's most popular armoursmiths in about 1.5months because of low prices, and amazing armour...130 credits per percent should do the trick

Issue is not your layers but your advanced segments and your final assembly...
To get into the sixties you need to be able to make 55% non layered composite..

you should take more out of special protection on your layers and put it into base. Between the 3 kinetics on my triple-layer, i try to hit right at 18% kinetic. rest goes to base and ham.
