I have an RIS helmet (that I am not near thinking of selling) and I was wondering what it worth.

it's worth a lot but depends on your server, so you'd be best of asking you server trade forum.

Since actually he was in the right, this is a question for the trade forum not the AS board, please don't get angry. Sorry to the original poster, this is just too much for me not to post.

That is a decent question, but this is not the place for that question. The place is the trade forums, there a value can be attained that will actually be relevent to the peice itself on the server you play on. I am pointing out the rules of this forum, not making a comment on the peice.

And yeah Viceman, learn to spell. I have no clue what, if any, point you are trying to make.

Can I use this thread to point out that a 12% acid layer is a horrible idea.


There are five commonly used acid weapons. The DX2, DXR6 carbine, Nym slugthrower and scatter pistol areall AP1, so you're looking at a marginal reduction in damage with a 12% layer vs. a vunerablity. Go up against a riflemanwith an AP2 DXR-6b though, and you're actually taking more damage than if you had left the acid hole intact.


I've made one RIS helm with a 13% acid layer, and that was because it was for another armorsmith who didn't want to do the RIS quest, and I figured anyone that saw it would know the design was on him (it had his shop tag on it as well). Otherwise, I refuse to put acid layers in RIS.

I also don't put in stun for the same reason.

I'm actually OK with a single stun layer. There's really no penalty from AP1 Jawa ion rifles, and it guts the damage from sonic blasters and stun batons.


Of course, that's implying that you'll be PvP'ing in RIS, which is a bad idea considering the whole acid vunerablity thing (maybe that's what you meant about not putting stun in). Really the only PvE where you have to worry about stun weapons is Nightsister hunting and runs through the Geonosian cave, and even though I'm not scared to use RIS in combat, thoseapplications tear armor up too fast to justify its use (IMHO).

heh, never said I accually USE this thing, think I'm crazy? And about the trade forums, yes know, I posted there without any replys so I though I'd try AS (assuming that that probably know a bit in the armor department).
