Sorry for the noob question, but can someone explain to me exactly what a 12 point armorsmith is? What tapes your using, etc?
Thanks!

A 12 point smith uses Modified clothing, or armor with bonuses to Armor Experimentation. The way the crafting system works, for every 10 points of Experimentation you have, you get one more point in the experimentation proccess. A standard Master Armorsmith has a skill of 100 Armor Experimentation, which gives him 10 experimentation points, making him a "10 point smith"
Now if you get experimentation tapes, you need to get a total of +20, bringing your Armor Experimentation skill up to 120. This gives you 2 extra experimentation points in the crafting process, and makes you a "12 point smith" The extra 2 points can help out a lot, giving you the ability to put extra points into making the armor lighter, increasing another stat, and just overall allow you to make better and better armor. They are, however, very expensive.Prices varry quite a lot from server to server, but the average price I have heard is for tapes of significant value (as +1's and +2's are generally not used because of the finite amount of clothing you can wear, making it very difficult to hit +20 with only 1's and 2') is generally around 2 mill per point.

A 12 point smith is someone who has Armor Assembly or Experimentation modifiers of +120 or higher. (Cap is +125 on both)
In Experimentation it gives you 2 additional points to experiment with. Instead of 10 youhave 12.
At Master Armorsmith we have +100 to each modifier. By using Clothing Attachments with modifiers to Armor Assembly or Experimentation we can up our modifier.
