Drop the Yavin wooly hide requirement in the advanced padded segment schematic.

One of the sandbox testers hinted that all armor will have a role after the CU. That's great in theory. In practice, advanced padded armor with good resists is a nightmare to make.

Like a lot of older 'smiths out there, I've got good resources - I can hit 76% kinetic with no enhancements - but collecting Yavin wooly is a nightmare. Figure you've got17 segments per suit at 25 units each, and you're looking at 450 units of hide just for a set of schematics. IIRC, my 4/0/4/0 scout on veghash w/ harvest droid was pulling up about 50 units on average per mamien kill. That's not sustainable, IMHO.

I would not be opposed to it.

I think they should keep the specific wooly, but change it over to a planet that has plenty of wooly creatures to hunt.

As far as Yavinian wooly goes - keep it for RIS only - the scarcity and difficulty in getting good yavinian wooly actually fits in with that.

As far as my 1 request goes, its this: Make the Epic armors (RIS and Mando) actually epic, and useful in battle - in other words, it does us no good to have a suit like that destroyed in 1 week of PVP play, and it also is pointless to have a suit that takes a good 6 months or more to get the resources to assemble, only to have it break on the first armor repair. There should be special NPC's that repair even 0 condition epic armor to near perfect condition every time, without fail - for a fee of course. That way, the devs get another money sink, and we get epic armor that we aren't afraid to take into battle with us.

I think you mean Rori wooly for RIS and Yavin animal bone for interwoven RIS segments.

This is one of my pet peeves, too.

I can deal with the Lokian Leathery requirement because it is so easy to get that kind of hide ... basically everything on Lok drops it. Yavinian Wooly is a huge pain in the rear end, because mamiens, although you can find them and pull missions on them, are only level 18-19, and will drop a lower amount of hide.

If woolamanders were random spawns (or missions ... and could conceivably have the harrower as a random boss mob like you have with gurks and the reclusive gurk king ...), the situation wouldn't be nearly as bad, since they are level 27, which means they drop a much nicer amount of hide and thus are worth hunters' time.

If you drop the Yavinian Wooly requirement (which I wouldn't oppose), I'd replace it with Fiberplast.

I agree. I think this should just be changed to Lokian Leathery hide as well. I've always tried to keep good resources to craft ALL kinds of armor. But, as it stands now there is just a huge inventory that I have to keep track of. Not to mention the fact that I don't even try to get the stuff I need to craft the two newest wookiee armors. Give me a break. Maybe the Dev's want armorsmiths to be more specialized and not be able to craft everything... If that's the case they did a great job.

Btw, having two different specific hides required to craft one type of armor just raises the cost. Why should padded armor be more expensive to craft than composite? That just doesn't make sense.

I'd rather see it left the same, but seewoolamander lairs with harrower boss spawns added like gurk lairson lok. That way, the wool becomes more readily available and a popular campsite is eliminated in one fell swoop.

That'd be fine too, but that's still a lot of hide for segments.

Um.. Yavinian wooly hide isn't hard to find.

Mamiens drop it too, and are plentiful (e.g. head towards the large island east of the Labor outpost. Lots of mamiens around the "river" there)

We've just had 2 good spawns of Yavin wooly in a row - I missed the first one (wasn't playing for a couple of weeks due to C++ runtime error frustration), but have got over 200k of the current one so far.

Xlot.
