New to AS, and I am wondering how these stack up. I have 10 points, and pretty good resources. No enhancements. I'm just wondering where they fall in the range of components you all see. I put generally bout 6 points into Resistace, and the rest in Durability. I did not watch the final % or the exact point usage. I will watch more closely next time.
What Sort of Ubese will this likely make?

Overall those resources look pretty darn good. Though for ubese armour you're better off maxing out the Kinetic resist on the layers and then lowering the HAM costs as Ubese is already resonably light.
I wouldn't think it unreasonable for that kinetic layer to be able to hit about 14% kinetic, with about 13-14 HAM. Which should put you in about the 74-75% kinetic range on the final combine.
Although I will say - you've got some derned light Ubese segs there...

Looking at your layers now...
You will be able to get your kinetic exp to about 84.60% which will yield an output about the 12% mark.. I think the marker for 13% is around 86.66 if Im not mistaken
If 12% is the best you can get try and use as little points as possible doing it... mutltiple points experimented on the line at the same time waiting for amazings..
remember 7 amazings in one exp give you an extra point to use elsewhere ;-)
Id look for some better metal, if I were you Im certain that there is better metals out there than this copper, there must be some good duralloy steel or kammris iron you can use or atleast better..
and I must say damn Id sacrifice a virgin for some of those resources.....
never getting to the rest I need sleep its very late/early here... :-)

I have been in the resource game for a long time, and have quite alot of old stuff hanging around. I have avoided WS and AS to give me something new to do. Well, as much as I liked Shipwright, I just hate seeing the hard-won and long-stored resource evaporate so fast. And the ROI on the resources is pretty low in SW...I have always liked the "efficiency" of ROI in AS and WS. I have been a DE since launch, and an Architect for about 9 months. But I never ran a regular shop for either....I craft by hand just for fun. All my money was made in resources....and of course I kept lots of the best Tempest has seen.
I reference to the last poster....are you using the "AS Little Helper" spreadsheet? I found this quickly, and began to use it. Well, trying to figure it out, hehe. I am something of a spreadsheet hobbyist, and added a Resource Lookup page and linked the stats and Name fields in all the other sheets to it. This way I can use a drop-down list to choose the resource, and it automatically inserts the resource stats....makes it much faster to try different combinations. Its a great sheet, and I may end up making my own up along the lines of spreadhseets I've done for SW and DE, and one I am working on for Arch.
Anyway, is this how you came up with those numbers? Using the stats I provided plugged into the spreadsheet? I am still trying to wrap my head around the amazing amount of math and such. I am right now running my first segement for Ubese. I never knew AS was so factory-intensive. Nearly as bad as DE, hehe.
Ehh, its late and I ramble. ANyway, thanks for the responses!

lol wrote a long reply then had to find out what server you were on went back one step in the browser clicked your name.. followed by a fast smack on the forehead :-)
Hmm I didnt use the spreadsheet but just found the weighted average between the resources used divided them by 1000 and multiplied the result by one hundred...
I thnk the formula can be found in the complete guide stickied at the top...
well I found out you are a tempest guy :-)
if you instead of this copper used some of these metals in your layers you would see something very different happen...

Goddamn Tempest really has had some drooly resources 994 average between OQ and SR *Think I just soiled myself lol* or atleast Ive moved from sacrificing virgins to babies lol
if we do the same math with you crystals and polymor but with that lovely metal...
((((8*((813+995)/2)+(8*((928+816)/2)+(20*((990+998)/2))/36)/1000)*100 = 94.68%
if Im not mistaken you would be in or very close to 14% kin land :-)
I think Im moving to tempest these kinds of resources are just too good :-)
Just for the fun of it the base on your high base kin layers for comp would be 4.73% droooooool
If you used some of the currently spawning polymer or that 30 day old stuff you would have even better results...
The resources you have chosen for your layers here I think would be nice if you wanted to do low encumb 80% kin/60% base armor :-) The oq/ma average is very nice but for good resist layers you need a better OQ/SR average.
Just my two cents :-) and again I find myself wposting on the forums when I should be hitting the sack lol

Yeah, I guess we've been pretty lucky. I'm happy with my droid biz now because of the 998cd 808 oq STEEL that shifted into Naboo for over 2 weeks. It is one of the new SW resources. I will continue to play around, and I can see I'm gonna have to go ahead and start tracking down those extra points... /ugh. I hate looking for highly sought after skill tapes. My AS spreadsheet is coming along nicely. It's just a pricing and inventory control spreadsheet, and should compliment the Little Helper one nicely.
