Thread: Getting Resources to Grind Armorsmith
Brand new Artisan getting into Armorsmith at 3/x/x/x
having a problem getting funding for resources ect....
I know the guide says what to grind, but I'd like to have some input on what people did to get funing for the pricy harvs and resources. accordding to a source I have read it will take me at 3/x/x/x 98k units of iron, 148k units of steel, and 50k units
of fiberplast
at 2 cpu thats 592k......any input ? advice would help.

Mine your own and get help from your friends. I was in a guild when I went AS. You just have to make them armor when you hit master.
You also need to look past grinding. Start gathering the resources you are going to need as master or you'll be wondering what to do when you're done.
Agreed. I just hit master yesterday, but I've been preparing for it for weeks. I've got hundreds of thousands of high-end resources because I researched the profession thoroughly to find out what I would need at master. I started placing harvesters weeks before I even started Artisan.
Guildmates are a huge help. If you're in a guild, ask fellow members for lots. Ask them for the grinding resources. You may even get lucky as I did, and find a guildie who no longer crafts, but had just about all the resources I needed to work my way to AS. Their payoff comes later, with a reduced price for armor sets. ( Even giving a few away won't kill you if you're well established somewhere down the road. )
I'd have made my alt on Shadowfire a armorsmith (well established there) but Shadowfire is a very low population server
seems like buisness would be slow, Any armorsmiths from low population servers verify this ?
if It's not so difficult I'll give my alt my 12 heavy harvs an get right to work

I do well on Shadowfire. Sales are steady, even with JTL being out. There are a couple of us that have been doing it for awhile. I've been an MAS on Shadowfire for over a year now and still selling out of the same player city.
We've recently had some of our best spawns for AS reousrces too, so I doubt you would have any problems with that.
