OK, I have done some searching and have found the Answers to many of my questions but a few still remain.
1) What is a good Kinetic and Stun Layer? What stats should I be shooting for to get me a good suit of armor?
2) If I was to use and Interwoven Bone Armor Schematic, what kind of States should I be looking for?
3) What would you charge a customer who wants you to assemble a Suit of RIS armor if they provide all the rare components?
Now I know for question 3 there are going to be variables... server economics and all... But since I don't know anyone on my server that does this I can't get a Flrruy answer.... Just trying to get an idea, Just got Master armrosmith last night and My RIS cert as well, and I already have 3 customers lined up for this service.
Thanks

I mostly just craft Ubese and Composite so for questions 2 and 3 I cannot help you.
For question 1.
First it depends on what you are going for. I would reccomend playing with it and making a few gloves to figure out what the different combinations for your resources are going to be. Also keep in mind that Pants, Chest, and Helmets tend to come in about 1% lower than the other pieces.
Genereally with Kinetic layers you are going to do 2 types of Layers. Either you are going to max the Base line or max the Encumb line and throw 1-2 points into the special resist.
With 10 points you will probably be better off doing 1 to 2 points in the special and then putting the remainder into ecumb. This will get you armor on Valcyn the has a Base of about 63% with Hams between 500-600 for a full suit. With 12pts the HAMS will be much lower.
This is for Composite only though. With Ubese you are going to max out the special resist and then go for HAMS. I have never tried Padded or Tantel so I have no advice there.
This should at least get you started. Always play with your resource combos and where you put your points. The best way to learn this profession is with Trial and Error. You will come up with some neat stuff, trust me.

well since I haven't really haven't toyed with any of it yet, it'll probably make more sence to me once I do it, but what I was wondering was when you have a completed layer what is the ideal resistances your aiming for? Like on Janta hide you usually look for 4% stuff, what is the resistanecs on the average "good" kinetic layer? That way once I can reach that then I'll play with Ham costs, from what I've seen so far, people care far more for Resists then they do with HAM costs.... but that will change in time.

Depends on the armor type, like he answered. But the easiest way to experiment on armor and learn how it works is to hand craft layers, then make segments, and then gloves. Gloves don't require factory parts so they're a great way to test new ideas for layers etc. Just make some layers of varying types and see how they come out in gloves. If you are having trouble post your resource stats.

Oh yeah for question 3, there is a lot more to RIS than just GDK scale, Gurk Hide, and Woolamander frag, even though most people think that with that they're done. First of all if it's interwoven you need the schematic, geo cubes, and you want janta hides or rancor hides, or ns shards for enhancers. Often you might want to use NS Layers. If he/she will provide ALL that then consider how hard it has been for you to obtain the best resources for RIS crafting, and charge him appropriately. Consider also the time of crafting and the fact that if you are concientious you'll use bespin port and the assembly food (i just blanked on the name) liberally. So the answer for 3) is "it depends".

Yeah I know that there's alot that goes into RIS... been reading about all that. What I am curious about is this... If someone wants a showroom piece of RIS and provides me the bone frags, hide, and scales... what would be a fair price to assemble it? Now obviously I would charge appropratly if they want a good suit, I'd charge more for the janta hide/ Geo Cubes/ Ns Layers (or shards)/ various stun and kinetic layers/ Interwoven schematic usage/ and actually using good resources. But I'm just curious what a general price for assembling the armor and basic resource use.

I charged 500k per peice if they brough their own stuff with absolutely no promise on stats
1 mill for interwoven
I encouraged then to bring their own layers/enhancers and pointed them to some of the AS posts to read up first

I dont charge if the provide all the drops, tho every time Ive done it they tip me something anyway. I feel the months of GDK hunting is tough enough so I let karma decide what I get paid

well last night I played around some with kinetic layers and composit layers to see what kind of gloves I could make. Now since I don't have the resources alot of established armrosmiths have I know I can do alot better. When I was crafting I noticed that some of the expermintation results didn't improve much. Now due to my lack of experience in all this I'm not sure if it's my resources and/or the fact that there's essentially a cap on final results.
When you guys craft a stunlayer/ kinetic layer/ and segments what is the Base eff your aiming for, the kinetic res/ stun res your aiming for to get the final 80% base/ kinetic final result? I know it's going to be awhile before I have everything squared away, but I'm curious on what the ballance needs to be.
Also on a side note, does anyone know of a thread on any forum that lists the hard cpas on resources? I have a tool I downloaded form swcgraft.com's forums that is really great for crafters, but I cannot ever get it to work right... part of the tool lists what rescources cap out on thier differet states (and tells you how close you are), I was wondering if anyone has ever posted this on the forums anywhereand if someone could throw me a link if you have one please.

as a fellow flurry armorsmith,
1)a good kinetic layer will be 95% exp eff base and about 11/11/11 enc
good stun layer is 85% stun 55% base if i'm remembering correctly, send me a tell ingame if you want exact numbers
2) high energy 70% ish not totally sure, only made one suit with this and it wasn't with uber resources, so it was 68% energy on mine
3) charge whatever you think your time is worth
side note, you will probably be better off not crafting ris if you are not a 12pointer

caps

Beware I dont think the new resources are taken into account here so there are better siliclastic ore out there then what this one says. Might also be some other capped resources that will act a bit differently
