Armorsmith was the first elite profession I mastered when I started SWG back in July 2003. It took me six months to master since I collected my own hides, bones and resources and I had never heard of anything so absurd as grinding a profession. But then again, I was possible to sell bone, marabi and chitinarmor back then too. I later dropped AS due to begin bitten by the Hologrind bug (swordsman became my new passion...feel the power). When I dropped AS, I promised that I would return tothe professionjust as soon as I could. Well, I finally became a Master Armorsmith again yesterday. This time it only took me a month to master (grinding and playing my other characters). It is really good to be back...now I just need to gather my resources and start putting out the uber armor that everyone likes to buy.
The sad part of mastering a crafting profession is that I had to take up marksman to be able to get my Apprentice Points. I could not find anyone who wanted Artisan, Armorsmith or Merchant training. I have also found out that I can not make it to being force sensative without killing. I have already gone throught the Warren with a group and got the evidence, but I cannot turn it in to get the badge until I declare to a faction (this requires me to participate in killing). I also cannot find an alternative to doing Jabba, Rebel and Imperial themeparks.

It gets even better, when you have done the village quests you will find that grinding crafting XP for the village is just not possible, and again have to go back to killing things. They don't like crafters becoming Jedi it seems....
