Hi, I was just wondering if Nightsister Armor Shards are worth anything? I have 6 and they are all -10 action, mind, health encumbrance. Thank you.

Yep, these are good for making improved armor. When you use them you drop the HAM cost of the armor as you would guess.

NS shards are currently bugged. They only seem to reduce action encumbrance on the final assembly, even though it seems to reduce the apparent encumbrance on segments made with them.
Really annoying, since most folks come to me asking if they can get a low encumbrance helmet made with them.
NS layers, however, do work.

Anyone know how these work, like do they leave protections alone, and just lower encumberance, or are they going to screw my armor up by moving some normal protection to special?

Nm, Just broke down and used them. First time i've really played with segment enchancements. They don't, if anyone else was curious, just a reduction in encumberance.

Which is extremly sweet if you are able to make a whole suit. Probably can catch yourself some big amounts of money for an extremly low HAM armor.

Hi there, sorry if this sounds noobish
I have looted many NS shards before, but I looted something new (to me at least) this weekend. I gotnine, same serial numbered, shards that had HAM rediction stats instead of the normal 3-5% eff. bonus. Like -28/-14/-18 if I recall correctly.
Was wondering if these were worth the bother to have turned into armor, or if they were just a waste of inventory space?

Those 3-5% items you looted are NS layers, the -28/-14/-18 setare NS shards.
That set would make a couple of decent, lower HAM chestplates.

Prople like them for RIS armor, put them on the trade boards and get 100k or so at least for the set....
