Thread: Post-CU Q's I haven't found A's for
- Is there any official word on whether we will be able to retrieve AAs and CAs from our armor?
- Will the pre-nerf Mabari and Ubeese pieces be wearable by any proff post-CU?
- What is up with gloves and boots, will they be needed/beneficial or not?
- Is encumbrance really based on only one piece of armor post-CU?
- What stats will be needed for armor resources, and is that the same for all armor? (I heard OQ/UT)

1. No offical word as of yet
2. You will only be able to wear it if your profession is certified.
Darn
3. Gloves and boots will be AA holders nowDon't take dmg, so won't decay.
Good, saves me 2 ADKs
4. Hinderances will be taken from the piece of armor that is the highest on these.
5. OQ/SR... for now.
Good, I'd hate it if al the hides I have sold to armorsmiths would be invalidated.

If you stay ranger, you'll prob make more money after the CU on hides. They are giving us the shaft on organics.
- Everyone now gets a set of buffs and puts on their best composite armor when they go out to do any fighting. Why? because comp is the best overall armor and anyone can wear it, so everyone wears it (unless they have RIS).
- In the first weeks after the CU, there will be a HUGE demand for Recon- and Battle-level armors, just because people won't be able to use their comp armor anymore.
- Once people can afford it (if they can't already), they may need multiple sets of armor for different scenarios.
- The end result is more suits of armor needed per person, and a lot more business for AS
So, you may need more hide to make a suit of armor, but you will make/sell more suits of armor, on the whole, then you make/sell now.
This is my current thinking process. Let me know if you find flaws in it. I am still trying to understand and anticipate the CU.

Think of it this way:

I'm working hard to get all my CU resources as we speak. I'm guessing that half of them will change, but I am sticking to find everything so I can hit the groud running. The only problem I forsee, is the organics. These are always the hardest to get. Like Naboo bristley.... what is up with that? That is the only resource I know I will have a problem with, I have everything else.
It's not going to go as good as you think after the CU hits. I'm not quiting, I'm actually eager to see what they are going to do. We have to be able to provide armor once the CU hits, and if they keep these requirements, I don't see it happening. Most AS after the CU are only going to be able to handle one type of armor right away. I've started an alliance with another smith and we are working our @ss off. We've had the best spawn on 2 of the new resources this week..... busy busy busy.
Ok, I started to rant there, but it was a good one ![]()

The hard part right now is enduring the drought before the flood. Nothing worthwhile is being bought on Tempest now. The only resource I know is selling is a pain to get and only paying 25 cpu.
