I've heard widely conflicting reports about RIS after the CU. I suspect most of it is speculation. I'm wondering if any of you armorsmiths on TC could help me out with the following inquiries:
1. Will RIS still be a quest armor, or will it be craftable like everything else. As in, will it still require the GDK scales, harrower fragments, etc.
2. Will RIS be useful in combat?
3. Is it in my best interests to get a full suit of interwoven RIS crafted before or after the CURB?
While I suspect no one knows the answers to these questions, in the off chance that someone might, I figured I'd ask them anyway. Thanks for any input at all.

Also, after the CURB, will you need to wear all 9 pieces of armor for protection, or will boots-gloves-chest-helmet still be enough?

1) Still Quest
2) Yes
3) Before.
4) You will need everything but gloves and boots for protection, as those 2 will become no-hit zones.

Boots and gloves won't count for anything after the CU.
I hope they keep RIS the same, really think it would be sick to have all my GDK scales go to waste...

no one has done the RIS quests on TC yet to know the answers to any of them, and no one knows anything at all on how conversions will happen. We are all in the same boat on that one.

I'm a bit terrified about how much RIS is going to cost after the CU. Right now, just one GDK scale is out of my league money-wise--I just don't have 500k to 1 million credits to buy one, and with little combat skills, there's no way I can hunt one. But after the CU? No more people soloing any kind of Dune Kimogila. I mean, the darnGDK scalesare hard enough to come by now.
I hope I can finish the RIS quest before the CU or I am scr00d.

Why do you say before? I have some being made right now, so i am happy to hear this.

Cheaper to have it done now than post CU.

I say before because the fate of what will happen to the interwoven RIS schematic is unknown, but with the right resources, you can make 80 kin, 80 base Interwoven RIS now, so my suggestion would be to do that before the CURB, and hope the devs weren't lying about the honest conversion.
Either way, there is a risk, but at least this way, you are risking it on something the devs have said rather than speculation.

Means the RIS suit with ADKs on all the pieces that I an a guildie have will be worth even more. Sweet
