been reading a a lot of professional threads to glean as much info as i can.

I am really sorry to see your profession being tampered with this way. Our profession seems to be intact enough so far though there are some important things still not known.

I totally can sympathize with your resource changes. I for one know how much work goes into collecting a large and excellent stash and we don't have to rely on organic hunters. I also understand the joy of tweaking and maximizing stats on components/final product. Too bad about the one (2?) experiment lines

Thanks for the post Manifest. Nice to see one of our crafting peers posting. It was getting so old reading posts from Jedi and other combat profs tell us that we need to shut up and deal with it. My best friend irl is a Weaponsmith also and when you compare the changes to the two professions, it just doesn't make sense.

Maybe I will have to become a Weaponsmith after the CURB.

Do you know if they went and change the schematics on WS?

I cant believe this CU has me pi$$ed to the point, I dont even want to log anymore.

I know exactly how you feel. I'm going to give it a try though. They are more than likley going to change a lot of this around though. I's just too drastic.

From what we can tell, it doesn't look like they've changed the resource requirements around really, but then again, this is in Test, who knows what'll happen when they push to Live. One major change that they have implemented tho is that certain weapons will only take standard components and others will only take advanced components.

As another crafter (weaponsmith), I've been poking around your forum as well, I can't believe how much of a shaft you guys are getting in the CU. We've had a couple of your kin over on our boards asking how hard they would have at converting over to WS. My hat's off to your profession; I never even thought of going AS after I played a buddie's AS and saw all your resource requirements, omg they want hide for armor?What was once a noble and challenging professionis going to become a dumbed-down version of its former self.

Good luck to those of you that stay AS after the CU.

hahahaha I wouldn't be surprised

Most of out schematics seemed to be intact, a shift to a different iron on a few (one's we already stockpile) and maybe a change from a specific resource to a generic (ie carb. steel--->steel) etc.

Biggest worry on this side is translation of built components and translation of enhancers in raw form and in components/weapons.

Who was your developer? Any chance we could have him for a few weeks? I'll never understand some peoples desire to completely undo other peoples work without a reason.

I guess I'll see you on the WS forums, a friend has a 12 point WS suit, so maybe that is the way to go.
